"Riley, wake up! You'll be late for school!" I heard a voice say. My eyes slowly, but surely, opened as I was greeted by mom who was holding a tray of blueberry-topped pancakes. I instantly shot up, giving my mom my full attention. "I am up, dear mother." I greeted my mom. My mom shot me a look before placing down the tray on my bedside table. "If this is how waking you up is going to be, I better start making some pancake batter." My mom smiled at me before walking from my room. OK, something is not normal. I scrunched my eyebrows together, before getting out of bed and leaving my room. Only, when I reached the staircase, I was stopped by Caleb, who was already dressed. Yep, something is definitely up.
