Lash willed the car to go faster as he pressed on the gas. So many thoughts whirled in his head, but he pushed them all away to focus on getting Naomi to the safe house. There was one thing he couldn’t get out of his head—the sight of Naomi on the hill. It was a different Naomi, yet the same. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye as she looked out the window, her face strained with worry. Was it possible that Luke—no, Lucifer—was telling him the truth?
