Did she just seriously turn me down? If so, I should be angry, but at this moment I'm just impressed by the way she jumped with me. It's just so different from my normal one-night stands.
I've had one or two blondes before, but so far none have been like her. The others did what I said and hardly any of them didn't adore me. And an unpleasant quality, unfortunately, also connected. After the one-night stand they hoped I would fall in love with them immortally and want a future with them. But wrong thought! It may make me look like an asshole, but when I'm interested in a woman, I usually don't want more than fun for one night and no real love.
"Are you all right, Sebastian?" is the voice of Aiden as he climbs the last steps of the stairs at this moment. I quickly push this thought aside. Aiden is more important right now. So far I've never apologized for my admittedly rather bad behavior. That's why I really want to use the chance he gave me to apologize.
"Yes, of course", I blink several times and then enter the apartment with my friend. I close the door behind us and watch my best friend hang his jacket.
"Thank you for coming," I say a little depressed. Aiden is my best friend and I would never forgive myself if he hated me because I was an asshole again. "It's clear," he says with a friendly smile. Has he already forgotten why he's mad at me? For me that would be a considerable relief.
Together we go into the living room and drop onto the sofa. Strangely enough, my friend seems quite relaxed, as if he didn't even know why I asked him here.
"Was that your new neighbor out there?" he asks with a broad grin and I am grateful not to have to start directly with the unpleasant. I am a person who is reluctant to admit excuses and mistakes to others.
"Yes, today is Ladys Night in the bar. Didn't you know that?" I answer with a high degree of sarcasm. Fortunately, he laughs, which makes me feel relieved. "How do you know that? Did you talk to her?" "You almost pretend that I never talk to anybody", I act disappointed when played. He pushes me playfully into the side before he becomes more serious again: "No, but now seriously. I thought you didn't like them. How do you know about that then?
"You were right", I admit after a few seconds. "What was my point?" I suspect that he himself knows what I mean, but wants to hear it from my mouth. "So that I should not try to build up a bad relationship with my new neighbour", I explain and feel incredibly stupid. He puts his head a little crooked: "You really took my word to heart? "Why does that surprise you?" Now I sound unbelieving after all. Did I not do that otherwise?
He shrugs his shoulders: "Well, often you have your own head and don't listen to me". "I'm sorry', I lower my eyes: "Can we please be cool with each other again? I don't like it when we argue". "Of course," I reply without hesitation: "I wasn't mad at you anyway." I am grinning. That's so typical again.
Apparently he's not finished with the topic 'Heather' yet, because he adds something else: "But seriously, Heather really looked hot. I nod silently. Of course I didn't miss how well this dress flatters her, but I really don't have to admit that now. Otherwise Aiden will get stupid thoughts.
"Don't you think so?" he deliberately hacks into it, because he seems to have noticed my gaze. "Yes', I grumble. "How did you actually stand up well with her," he asks with interest and crosses his legs. Sighing, I answer him: "When you were away, I first introduced myself to her and then suggested that she show her the surroundings. "And she agreed?", he is really fired up by the story. "Yes, she did," I explain briefly, since I want to keep to myself what we did. After all, he doesn't have to know everything and especially not that he asked about her. My neighbour is taboo for him.
