Mara felt a rush of worry guilt as she noticed the lines on Wayne's face. She knew he was going through a lot because of her, and it was hard on her conscience.
"Wayne, I am so sorry," she said, her voice barely audible. "I feel like everything is my fault."
Wayne looked at her with concern in his eyes. "Mara, this is not your fault. "You are the victim in this situation."
