I stayed in the secret hide out prepared for Mara. She sat at the balcony, right by the pool, her legs dipped into it. She was playing with the water, smiling and watching it go.
I tried not to be angry with her because of the traumatic events she's been through. I just wanted to make things easy for her, as payment for the price she had to pay because of me.
I grabbed her by the arm, causing her to shriek a little but she became at ease upon realising that it was just me. She tried coming closer to me but I pushed her back before she could even touch me.
“Are you okay? Why would you go and threaten Andrea?” I asked.
