Raven’s expression softened for a bit, but I could still see her frustration simmering underneath it. She let out a slow measured breath, shaking her head to the sides. “Claire, you should have come to me sooner, I could have helped you, I could have done something at least.”
I swallowed hard, allowing the guilt to wash over me. “I’m sorry, Raven. I am. Please you have to understand that I didn't know what to do.”
