Jessi’s funeral was scheduled for the following Saturday, and Ruby wasn’t ready.
Elliot invited her to stay in Seattle before jumping back to work at Orchard Grove. Ruby had considered his offer, but he would be so busy with work, she didn’t have any idea what she’d do with herself.
She doubted Orchard Grove would ever feel the same without Jessi, but it was the closest thing she had to home.
