Xhi Yuan was patiently waiting by the road where Wang Huailing had asked him to meet her. Anger and resentment were bubbling in his heart. He still remembered the sting of the slap on his face and the humiliation he had to endure. He wanted to kill that b***h, Chen Feng more than anything in the world. She was the reason behind this current predicament he was forced into.
That’s right. He came here with great hopes in his hearts. Wang Hualing would help him to exact his revenge.
Catching the sight of it, he hurriedly scurried to that expensive, lavish car.

"What happened?"
He slowly explained to her everything, from the beginning to the end making sure to curse Chen Feng a few times and make Wang Huailing get angry at her. Wang Hualing listened to him patiently.
"So your boss was eager to please Chen Feng?"
"Yes, Ms. Wang.", Xhi Yuan explained hurriedly, hoping Ms. Wang to help him after listening to everything.
Indifference appeared in her countenance as she leaned back in the comfy and luxurious seat of her expensive, opulent car putting back the sunglasses that covered half of her face. She was not in a very good mood after knowing that her move couldn’t hurt Chen Feng at all.
"So why are you here now?", she said in an arrogant and callous tone like she was addressed with some insignificant bug. And that was what Xhi Yuan was in her eyes. A worthless chess piece.
Xhi Yuan’s heart sank catching the indifference in her tone.
He was here in hopes of getting his revenge and Wang Huailing was not even interested in getting him out of Xu Chyngun men hold?
"M-Ms. Wang. Weren’t you the one who asked me to kick her out?", he said, desperate and panic-stricken at her lack of response. He could see the last string of hope escaping from his hands and drowning in an endless abyss of darkness.
"Yes, I said that. So what? I’ve already given you a hefty sum of the money for that"
"Ms. Wang", Xhi Yuan was on the verge of tears, "I-I can’t fight off a man like Xu Chyngun. All that money was already lost to bribe them into letting me go for a while to contact you"
"That’s none of my concern. You already failed to harm her in any way and now you are also here asking for my help?", Wang Hualing’s voice was cold. She couldn’t bother to help a worthless insect-like him.
"Ms. Wang if you could help to get me free I would help you in dealing with Chen Feng"
She laughed contemptuously.
"You worthless thing. What use you could be to me. I can deal with that who*e myself"
"Ms. Wang. Please, It would just take your one call to make them let me go", he pathetically implored. He had to. His life depended on it. All his plans of having revenge on Chen Feng vanished and only fear stayed.
Wang Huailing was getting annoyed of that filthy peasant.
"Get him away", Wang Hualing ordered Xi Milian rubbing her temple.
"Yes mistress", Xi Melian said and ordered the bodyguards to throw him out. All the while Xhi Yuan kept on screaming Wang Huailing name begging for her help.
What a headache, Wang Hualing thought.
Even if she wanted to help him, she just didn’t want anyone to get suspicious that it was her who had ordered Xu Chyngun to throw Chen Feng out. Because now that Xu Chyngun had jumped in to help Chen Feng, it was clear that he must have been ordered by Li Luxian to do so. Now Wang Hualing realized that Li Luxian was protecting this girl.
If Chen Feng under Li Luxian protection, Wang Huailing couldn’t harm her directly. Because utilizing his links and connections, Li Luxian would easily know that Wang Huailing was trying to harm her.
Though Li Luxian didn’t love Wang Huailing, he didn’t hate her either. But knowing that she tried to harm the girl he was courting, Li Luxian would hate her.
"Ms. Wang Li Guang has invited mistress father, Wang Zhihao, to dinner tonight at his residence", Xi Milian informed her.
"Is he going to discuss the engagement?", Wang Hualing asked. Indifference still clouding her eyes.
Xi Milian trembled slightly. It was most likely that he would annul the engagement tonight and if it was to happen, her mistress would get into a frenzy and Xi Melian would be the victim of her wrath.
"Yes mistress"
Wang Huailing was silent for a while as if she was thinking something.
"Would elder Li be there?"
"No miss they didn’t invite him"
Wang Huailing smirked. Li Fu Tong, the grandfather of Li Luxian and Li Bei Yuan, the grandmother of Li Luxian would always be on her side. Li Fu Tong had close connections with Wang family and over years, Wang Hualing was successful in creating a good impression of her in Li Bei Yuan’s eyes. They saw her as their own daughter.
They were her trump card. Because the engagement was initially proposed by them so they would stand by her side. She didn’t think that she would be needing their help to get married to Li Luxian but now circ.u.mstances left her no choice.
"Xi Melian book for the flight to the farmhouses of the Li family"
Xi Melian understood her mistress intentions at once.

Wang Hualing was determined that she would not let Guang Li annul the engagement tonight then no matter what ploy she had to concoct to achieve her goals.

Ever since secretary Zhang Xin had gotten that message ordering his immediate presence by his boss, he had been anxious.
"Mr. Li, is it an emergency?", he asked over the phone.
After a short pause of silence, Mr. Li said.
"Yes"
"I’ll be right there", Zhang Xin said in a firm, committed tone.
"Also bring the men under you", Mr. Li suggested.
Zhang Xin thought that the matter must be quite critical this time for Mr. Li asking him to bring other men too.
"Mr. Li is it really that serious?"
"It is serious", Li Luxian said in a grave tone, "The more people there are, the better"
"Alright, Mr. Li"
It has been a while since they encountered any destructive confrontation. But knowing Li Luxian power and the type of people he dealt with, such violent conflicts were unavoidable. Zhang Xin still remembered the time when they had gotten in a fierce gunfight and a lot of casualties occurred. They hardly managed to save their boss life.
Packing himself with his most advanced guns and taking his best marksmen with him, Zhang Xin hurriedly sped to the location Mr. Li had sent to him.
"Mr. Zhang, should we take our bulletproof vests with us", one of the men asked judging the severity of the situation.
"Do it. Do it. Mr. Li said it was an emergency. He had never used the word ’emergency’ to anything before even when we were ambushed", Zhang Xin said in a pensive tone.
The urgency in Mr. Li’s tone was incontestable. It was best if they proceeded prepared well with all precautions.
Taking his men equipped with the best weapons, Zhang Xin stepped at the entrance of that huge building. He, along with others, was vigilant all the time as their ears and eyes were heedful to every minute suspicious movement. All the passer-by threw curious glances in their direction as they spotted five big, burly men dressed in black. They stood out tall in the general public due to their attire and muscular bodies.
Zhang Xin thought that it was rather peculiar because of all such previous meetings they had, were carefully limited to private places. But the location Mr. Li had sent this time was fairly public.
"Mr. Zhang where to now?", one of the men who also looked confounded due to this unexpected arrangement asked in an unsure tone.
Zhang Xin frowned.
"Mr. Li sent for the seventh floor"
"Isn’t it just a mall? What serious predicament can befall here?", one of the men asked.
They were already getting dubious.
"Quiet. Mr. Li. said it was serious so it must be serious. Have you forgotten about your training? Stay focused and don’t let your mind wander to useless ideas", Zhang Xin said in a stringent, authoritative tone that quietened everyone.
As they scuttled to the floor Mr. Li mentioned, they spotted him standing alone in the VIP sections holding something in his hands. His back was visible to them. The owner of the mall who was serving Li Luxian and he looked quite tense and fretful in Li Luxian domineering aura. Once spotting those five armed men, he further paled.
"Mr. Li. we are here. What emergency is it?", Zhang Xin said as they all assumed a defensive stance and surrounded Li Luxian in case anyone was about to jump out and open fires at them.
Li Luxian turned slowly and gracefully. His eyes still focused on those two little boxes in his hands as a puzzled look unfolded on his countenance
"I can’t seem to decide", Li Luxian said pensively, "Which ring should I choose for my wife"

Today they were to register their marriage.
"Li Luxian, what is it?", Chen Feng was finally getting accustomed to calling him by his name. But it still felt odd to her ears because in the back of her mind she was aware of the power and status of the man she was addressed with.
Li Luxian grabbed her hands. The warmth of his hands on hers felt soothing and like always, sent her heart into a hyperactive state almost immediately. After having a fair number of intimate interactions with Li Luxian, Feng Chen had learned to keep a calm demeanor in his proximity. But inwardly, she was always fretting in his presence.
Li Luxian never kept his hands to himself whenever they were together. In the name of convincing his father of their relationship, he acted like a complete love-struck puppy. Chen Feng could only acquiesce to his advances. After all, she had signed the contract.
She felt a cold thing sliding in her finger. Chen Feng eyes caught a sparkling shine. She raised her hand to look at it and found a ring with countless small, l.u.s.trous, translucent light pink diamonds attached to it. Her eyes widened in awe.
"Li Luxian is it...", she couldn’t help her amazement and blurted instantly.
She recognized that ring. It was that legendary diamond ring that was worth more than million RMBs and the dream of countless girls. A set of such rings was bought by a famous tycoon as a trophy to grace his mall that also happened to be one of the most expensive malls in the country. Whole media had gone into a frenzy when the rings were brought in country.
Countless affluent families had wanted to get their hands on those rings. But not even the wealthiest person could strike a deal with that tycoon to buy any single one of it. Because those rings were simply very highly prized. So they could only drool over them from afar.
Her widened eyes silently asked the question as she stared at Li Luxian-Was it really the same ring?
Li Luxian complacent expressions answered her question.
"I must provide the best wedding ring for my wife"

A slight hesitancy grew in her heart.
"II can’t accept it. I’m afraid I will lose it..."
