"There was no mention of being pulled in your family drama in the contract!", she objected giving rightful color to her argument.
"Some things come for granted and are not needed to be mentioned", Li Luxian said freeing her so that he could take her inside. They were already late. But as his grip loosened, she struggled once again. He tightened his hold.
"Do you like this position very much wife? We can always try it later in private", his said darkly as his voice deepened.
Only then Chen Feng stopped, embarrassed when she realized their compromising position. Her heart thumped loudly and her face burned. He was on top of her, straddling her and pinning her down. If anyone was to witness such a scenario, they would sure imagine a wide range of possibilities.
"That’s better", Li Luxian said satisfied and let her go noticing her submissive behavior.
"Why are you so scared? They are not going to eat you", he sat beside her.
"I just married their son behind their back!", Chen Feng said getting in a sitting position. Her voice was quiet and demure contradictory her previous loud one as she was mortified, "And they’ll definitely not welcome me with open arms!"
"So?", Li Luxian said, "I married you. You are my responsibility. Even if my whole family turns against you, you’ll have my full support and protection"
His assurance eased Chen Feng a little.
"Would they hate me?", she asked quietly what had been bothering her.
"My mother and brother will love you. My father might look strict but he will also support you. As for my grandparents, it will take time for them to accept you", Li Luxian replied truthfully. He extended his hand as his eyed gleamed affectionately, "Come with me. I’ll never let anyone harm you"
Chen Feng took a deep breath.
"Alright I’ll go", she said and grabbed his hand.
The warmth radiated through his firm, soft hand soothe her fidgets and filled her with inexplicable strength. Li Luxian smiled at her and pulled her to him as they walked to the inside of the manor, side by side.
"Li Luxian thank God you are here", Li Fu Tong said.
In the big hall, there were a lot of people gathered. Chen Feng could recognize Wang Hualing, Wang Zhihao, Li Luixian grandparents and his parents. And she paled. The instant she regretted coming with him.
"Didn’t you say that there will only be your parents and brother", Chen Feng whispered screamed to Li Luxian.
"When did I say that?", Li Luxian denied shamelessly.

"Don’t worry I’ve got a plan", Li Luxian said noticing Chen Feng’s face turning bad.
"I’ve decided with Wang Zhihao that your wedding with Wang Hualing will be arranged for this week and I’ll personally make preparations", Li Fu Tong declared grumpily in a tune that was irrefutable ignoring Chen Feng presence.
Chen Feng further paled.
"I’ll not listen to you delay this wedding any further for random excuses", Li Fu Tong said in a severe tone.
Chen Feng almost fainted.
Li Luxian squeezed her hand to comfort her.
"Sure grandfather", Li Luxian said cheerfully.
Elder Li felt satisfied. He thought that he must have to reprimand his grandson a lot to make him agree but with Li Luxian agreeing readily, a lot of trouble was saved.
"But first let me introduce my wife to you"
Everyone was taken aback.

"What the nonsense you are spouting", Li Fu Tong said in a loud, infuriated tone that held so much anger that it almost made Li Yuhan jump in fright. Li Luxian stood his ground firmly without a single ripple of reluctance or wavering appearing in his countenance.
"I’m not spouting nonsense grandfather. I came here to introduce my wife", he said calmly like he was talking about the weather.
"Are you saying that this woman is your wife?"

"Presumptuous!", Wang Zhihao shouted and stood up."What proof you have?"
Wang Zhihao was unwilling to believe that Li Luxian married so suddenly against his parent’s approval. He must be doing it to get rid of the engagement.
Wang Hualing was also shocked to the extent that she was frozen to her spot. She had spent countless hours shedding fake tears in front of Li Fu Tong to make him agree to come and personally arrange the engagement. Everything had been settled and even Li Guang conceded to Li Fu Tong, agreeing to not annul the engagement.
She was so happy just a moment ago.
It looked like Li Luxian was finally hers. She wouldn’t have to wait for more than a week. But now Li Luxian was claiming that he already had a wife?
"I’m saying it. Isn’t that enough of proof?", Li Luxian said lightly. Unlike Wang Zhihao, whose voice was loud and enraged, Li Luxian voice was breezy and indifferent.
"You are deceiving us!"
Li Luxian lips curled up as he asked in a mocking tone.
"What reasons do I’ve to deceive you?"
"Because-Because you...", Wang Zhihao trailed off.
Everyone knew that Li Luxian never wanted to get married to Wang Hualing. But wouldn’t mentioning that reason in open insult his own daughter?
Li Luxian laughed inwardly at his silence.
"Elder Wang, if you want proof, here it is", Li Luxian grabbed a red certificate that was secured in a frozen Chen Feng hands and threw it on the table.
"This is...", Wang Zhihao was speechless. They had never expected such a situation.
Wang Hualing went mad as her eyes landed on the name on the card. She was stunned to silence. Disbelief appeared in her eyes.
She lost her mind. She had been able to keep her calm until now but her obsession for Li Luxian was always there. When she saw Chen Feng standing by Li Luxian side with her hand in his hand and the way he looked at her, she completely lost it.
How could she? How could she tolerate it? Driven by impulsive anger, she failed to act rationally.
"How dare you!", she screamed. Tears were brimming in her eyes as her breaths came shallower and faster. She didn’t waste a second to scurry in her direction and raised her hand to hit her, mindless of the consequences of her vulgar move, blinded by hate and jealousy.
She was truly maddened at that time.
Chen Feng was astonished. Was it the same calm and elegant Wang Hualing as portrayed in the media who was so innocent that she couldn’t even witness violence?
Looked like Li Luxian was not wrong when he said that she was eccentric.
She was fast and Li Luxian was standing away so he couldn’t stop her. Her hand reached Chen Feng but before it could even touch her, Chen Feng’s hand reached out with unexpectedly fast speed and gripped her elbow firmly, effectively blocking the attack.
"Let me go, you b***h!", Wang Huailing, blinded by the anger and needing to hurt her, screamed.
Chen Feng lips curled up slightly into a deriding smile and she twisted her arm at a certain angle. For an onlooker, it didn’t look damaging at all. But only Wang Huailing knew how much it hurt.
She screamed and pulled back.
"You wench! You hurt me!", Wang Huailing said and assumed a pitiful look in her countenance.
"I just protected myself. Now am I to blame for even blocking your attack to protect myself?", Chen Feng denied shamelessly and said confidently. But what Chen Feng said seemed irrefutable. No one could tell that she had twisted her arm from the looks of it.
"You-You liar! You hurt me! Everyone saw that! You vulgar woman", Wang Hualing looked around with pitiful eyes but she didn’t find sympathy for her in anyone’s eyes. Rather everyone was looking at her with accusing eyes, "She-She did hurt me!"
Her audacious move had completely ruined her image in the Li family. Even Li Fu Tong was dissatisfied with her violent response.
"Enough", Wang Zhihao said realizing that his daughter was ruining her image and making a fool of herself walked to her and grabbed her., "This is enough of insult we have endured so far", he humphed, "Never though elder Li would go back on his words!"
"Wang Zhihao stop. Pardon me for the negligence of my grandson. He is young and foolish. I’ll compensate you for this loss", Li Fu Tong said in a reverent tone. No matter what, he had given his word to Wang Zhihao.
"Compensate me?", Wang Zhihao said in a contemptuous tone, "Would you kick out that hoe and marry my daughter to Li Luxian?"
"Wang Zhihao!", Li Guang burst. No matter what the girl was now his daughter in law and no one could insult the daughter in law of Li’s family.
"Silence!", Li Fu Tong shouted.
Everyone quietened.
