"I’m not denying it", Chen Feng thought that the crowd held the hate only towards the girl in the scandal so she subtly used her words indirectly denying that she was the one in the scandal, "But I assure you that Mr. Li didn’t break off his engagement because of me"

And to some extent it was true. He himself wanted to get rid of the engagement. It was not entirely Chen Feng’s fault but she only assisted him in this matter.

"Lies!", Lui Chao said.

Chen Feng frowned.

"What has it to do with you guys anyway?", she said composedly.

At this point, Mr. Xhi, who had been watching the entire show, quietly thought that it was the right time to interfere.

"Ms. Chen, you have violated the terms to the agreement to stay in this apartment so I’m here to inform you to evacuate right now"

"Getting involved in a scandal and tarnishing the society name", Mr. Xhi said contemptuously.

"You don’t know that the girl in the scandal is me"

Mr. Xi smirked.

"Ms. Chen even if it is at the point of suspicion, I have the authority to terminate the contract and ask you to empty the apartment at any instant. And not mention you have also failed to pay the apartment charges and with your current unemployed state, I doubt you would be able to pay them by due date"

"The contract states that I can stay as long as the extended date to pay the charges with fine"

"Ms. Chen, whatever the contract states, are you forgetting that I hold the final decision-making power according to the contract?"

Chen Feng was troubled. If she was to evacuate now, she would have no place to go other than Fu Liling. But if she stayed at Fu Liling place, she was scared that her brainless ex would accuse her of plotting to r*pe him.

To find the perplexed expressions on Chen Feng’s rosy face and a trepidation clouding her clear, limpid eyes; Mr. Xhi thought of something. He leaned in and silently said in a low voice so no one could hear him, "However If you could come to my office, we may work out something"

He had been lenient on her because she was pretty. Countless times he had tried to hit on her but she had never responded to his advances well. He was a married man with three children. How could Chen Feng respond well to his approaches?

Chen Feng looked at him truly astounded.

There was a languid glint in his eyes as he eyes her lecherously.

Chen Feng’s thin lips curled up. That smile looked so charming on her gorgeous white, milk-like face-specially when her red lips were such a contrast to her pale skin.

A cold glint flashed across her eyes.

"Mr. Xhi I couldn’t expect to be so shameless when you already had a wife", she said, intentionally loud so everyone could hear. Her strong voice held a magnetic charm in it capable of making anyone feeling a sort of attraction towards her.

With the close distance, he was standing by Chen Feng, everyone could guess he must have said something immoral to her to bring such a response out of her.

"Humph! Such a shameless man"

"Though I don’t like Chen Feng, that man should still mind his manners"

"What a scoundrel! He is married and still goes around looking for others?"

Xhi Yuan was mortified.

"Fine Ms. Chen, I was just trying to help you. If you don’t want to take the goodness of my heart with respect then I will have to use harsh measures against you", he flared up and threatened her, hoping that she would yield to him.

Chen Feng smiled faintly. She was calm, composed; didn’t feel threatened at all. She had seen through thick and thin and fought off far more dangerous enemies than Xhi Yuan. But she did feel a rush of anger at that shameless despicable person as she was disgusted by him. Her eyes had a glint in them that resembled that of a psychopath murderer as she looked at Xhi Yuan. A murderous aura surrounded her.

Xhi Yuan felt a chill when he saw those cold eyes and a cold smile on her lips.

How could someone as delicate and pretty as Chen Feng possibly possess such a dangerous aura? Like she could kill him any second?

But he shrugged it off considering it to be his paranoia.

"Fine, Mr. Xhi if this is what you want, I would evacuate right now", she said in a low light voice as she lowered her eyes to conceal the viciousness in them, "But I hope you won’t regret it later"

You won’t regret it later-Those words deeply settled in Xhi Yuan’s heart and he trembled slightly. What was with that inexplicable fear?

"Regret it?", Mr. Xhi said, aloud, angry at the fact that the words of that worthless woman were capable of giving him a scare, "Why would I regret it. Do you think I would be scared of you penniless peasant like you!"

"Throw her stuff out!", he barked at the subordinates around him.

Lui Chao was silently relishing the show. She could not help a smile emerging on her lips as she saw the guards throwing away Chen Feng stuff. She had always despised Chen Feng. It was no secret. Chen Feng was pretty and Lui Chao, full of insecurities, was always in denial of her perfections. So she couldn’t suppress that relentless hate in her heart.

As Chen Feng stood there silently watching her stuff thrown out without any care, neither she nor Mr. Xhi or any other person who was relishing in her plight could have guessed that the owner of the building was speedily on his way to there to flatter and win favor of the future Ms. Li right after getting a call from certain CEO of the Li corporation.

As he walked up the stairs, he thought the building was too shabby. How could someone like the future wife of Mr. Li be living in a lowly place like this? He needed to offer her a better place. And if she disagreed, he was going to renovate the whole building.

As he walked to her apartment number, he saw a large crowd gathering in front of her apartment. His heart shuddered as he silently prayed that it didn’t have something to do with Ms. Chen.

"Did you really have to go to such an extent?", Chen Feng said in her cold calm tune, that was devoid of any emotion. "Did I not say that I would evacuate right now?"

Xhi Yuan sneered.

"A shameless and ungrateful person gets to be treated like trash", Mr. Xhi said boldly. He didn’t take the fact well that she took down his advances.

"Shameless?", Chen Feng said with a slight tilt of her lips, "Isn’t the word better suitable for those who intend to cheat on their wives?"

A collective crowd gasp was heard. Now everyone was sure that Xhi Yuan must have said something immoral to Chen Feng earlier. When his intentions were said in the open, Xhi Yuan felt a rush of anger.

"Ms. Chen, You!"

At that moment a cold voice was heard that made the heart of Xhi Yuan shudder.

"What is happening here?"

"Its Xu Chyngun", someone in the crowd whispered.

Everyone in the crowd stared at the source of the voice as they expected a good show now that the owner was also here. Xu Chyngun was an important man and not everyone had a chance to have a meeting with him. So his presence was a sight to behold. And the unknown reasons behind his sudden visit was even something more exciting to gossip about.

Xhi Yuan turned and his eyes widened with fear as they landed on Xu Chyngun. His heart jumped out of his throat as he stared at his Boss. It’s been years since Xu Chyngun visited this area. It was like he had forgotten about this petty piece of land he held.

Then why the sudden visit?

"M-Mr. Xu you here?", Xhi Yuan said in a flattering tone. "Y-You could have informed me first. I would have come to receive you personally"

"You didn’t answer my question", Xu Chyngun said in a grave tune, unaffected by his flattering, "What is happening here?"

"T-This woman here failed to pay the apartment charges so we are forcing her to evacuate", Xhi Yuan stuttered.

Lui Chao broke in the conservation to help Xhi Yuan.

"It is true Mr. Xu. Chen Feng is also tarnishing the good name of our society by her shameless actions and openly sleeping with engaged men. So we all society members decided it would be best if she left the society."

Xhi Yuan had a feeling of gratitude towards Lui Chao. After resolving this issue, he decided to reward her by overlooking her apartment charges.
