Chapter 02: Prove yourself

1714 Words
Andrea I took a deep breath as I walked towards the man that I'd been dared to speak to. According to the girls, this was the man I was eyefucking and even though I'll hate to admit it even to myself, it was the truth. I rolled my eyes at the thought of having to go through the challenge of sitting through a ten minute conversation with a stranger, because like it or not the only company I liked was that of my friends, my brother and myself. Every other thing was just too much work for me. It wasn’t like I was shy or anything. Socializing wasn’t just my thing—and that’s why most people assumed I was mean after meeting me for the first time. And knowing my friends, if it wasn't up to ten minutes, they'll say that I didn't do it and I really didn't want to embarrass myself by doing this a second time. I silently prayed that he didn't see the eye roll I did on my way to his table because that was definitely going to ruin everything for me. “Hey.” I said with a huge smile as I approached him. From the look of things, he was a really rich person, and my brother had already taught me how to handle rich people. Always start up very politely. “Hi.” He smiled back. “Andrea. Nice to meet you.” I shot my hands out for a handshake. “Dominic.” He smiled as he shook my hand back. “Um, can I take a seat?” God this was already off to a very weird start. “Sure.” He motioned to the seat opposite him. I sat down with a little smile, expecting him to start the conversation seeing how he'd been staring at me for the past…. well however long I was here. I sat there, and the both of us did nothing but stare at each other in absolute silence for the first ten seconds. And then when I couldn’t take it anymore, I decided to break the silence. “Sorry. Uhm, my friends dared me to come have a conversation with you.” I found myself saying. The truth would always set you free right? “I was just quiet because I thought you'd have something to say to me.” He chuckled, a deep rumbling sound, as he stared at me like I was slowly sprouting out a second head or something. “Why would you think I'd have something to say to you?” He looked me over. Okay, ouch. “Maybe because you've been staring at me like a f*****g creep ever since I walked into this place?” Oh God. I really needed to work on my temper and minding my language when it came to talking to strangers. Maybe I was kind of mean. “Hmmm.” He nodded with a smile as if he was finding all this very amusing. “So you're trying to pretend like you weren't enjoying the raking eyes of a hot male.” “Enjo… what?” I sputtered, totally at a loss for words to say. “I wasn't enjoying anything, I promise you.” “Hmmm. Well, your heated cheeks testify differently.” I hadn't even realized that I was blushing until now, and no matter how hard I tried to, I couldn't resist the urge to raise my hand to my burning cheeks. “Asshole.” I muttered underneath my breath. “That's bad character. How will you be saying such a thing to someone you're meeting for the first time?” He tilted his head, leaning further into the light. I was so shocked with how handsome he was and how chiseled his jawline was. Like how could someone be so good looking? He clicked his tongue as he shook his head. “Horrible first impression, darling. Don't do that next time.” I blinked at him, completely confused and thrown off. Who the hell did he think he was to tell me how to act? Besides, he was the one who started all of this. “f**k you.” I spat out. He looked up at me, an intrigued expression carved into his face. “I know you're craving that, sweetheart. Your movements and how distracted you were at that table was enough proof of that.” “Uh… not true.” I looked him up and down, recoiling in disgust as I was completely irritated. Although he was kind of right. I could already feel heat pooling in between my thighs at this little forth and back we were having. But he would never know that. Gosh. Why the hell was I feeling this way? I wasn't the type of person that easily felt horny, so this was not something that was normal to me. After a while of thinking, I finally came to the conclusion that I was only feeling this way because I hadn't been with a man for a very long time. That very long time being almost two years, so maybe the fact that I could still feel this way was a good thing. Besides, this Dominic man was really handsome, and from his folded up dress shirt, I could already see that he was a really hot one. I could just imagine myself pinned under his naked torso with his muscles rippling under my touch as he kissed me and… “If it's not true, then why are you biting your lip?” Dominic interrupted as he leaned in, pulling me away from my thoughts before they could go down an unwanted path. I hadn't even realized that I was biting my lip until he said so. “Because I want to.” I raised my chin higher, speaking with complete confidence even though I was lying. “It’s my lips, is it not?” Liar, a voice rang in my head. “Well, good luck trying to make yourself believe that.” “Whatever,” I snarled, rolling my eyes before glaring at him. “And even if you're the last man on earth. The last living being in fact, I wouldn't even dream of f*****g you.” “You really think so?” He leaned in so close I could smell him. And he smelled sweet. I could smell a hint of the alcoholic wine he was drinking, but I could also smell dark chocolate with a hint of sandalwood and cigarettes. I've always hated the smell of cigarettes, but somehow it smelled great on him. It might have been because of the other scents that were mixed up with it… or maybe it was just because it was on him. “Yes.” I whispered in a threatening tone, leaning in too, but only slightly just so that our noses wouldn't touch—still it was still very close. “In fact, I don't think so. I actually know so.” “How about we go upstairs and find out?” He snarled, looking slightly annoyed, and I don't know why but that look caused the sensitive nub between my legs to start pulsing. “Unless…” his voice deepened, rolling off his tongue in a sultry manner. “You have a problem with that?” Damn my f*****g s****l urges, I was trained better than this. I was definitely not following a stranger into one of the rented rooms upstairs just to prove that I didn't want to f**k him when I knew for a fact that I actually did want to f**k him. Hmm. Maybe I should f**k him. I mean it has been a while. And this was the first time in ages that I was actually sexually attracted to man, and didn’t just think he was fine. But I was definitely not giving him the satisfaction of knowing that. So I guess I’ll just have to put up a fight first. I mean what’s the worst that could happen. “Of course I don’t have a problem with that.” My eyes drooped with indifference as I sized him up. Really slowly. “It’s you I have a problem with.” “Why?” A teasing smirk played on his lips. “Because you know you won’t be able to last even a minute before you submit to me?” “Nice try, golden boy. But I won’t be submitting to anyone tonight.” I said, crossing one of my legs over the other as I raised my brows with smug satisfaction. “Hmm.” He narrowed his eyes. “So you wouldn’t mind joining me for a drink upstairs?” I hesitated, staring at him for a while and I couldn’t help but wonder what the hell was going on in that head of his. Maybe I shouldn’t f**k him, besides it’ll only boost his stupid ego and I certainly didn’t want any of that. I mean imagine the look on his face when he takes me to one of the rooms and I actually leave without letting him touch me. A wide smile stretched out on my lips as I locked gazes with him, drawing out the word. “Sure. I wouldn’t mind at all.” “Fine.” He said with a small shrug before pushing himself off the couch. “Let's go then.” He then dropped so much money on the table that I was sure it was definitely more than triple the price of the wine he was just drinking. My gaze dropped to the nearly full bottle sitting on the table. He’d barely even drunk a fraction of it. Ugh. These rich people. Always spending so recklessly. I picked up my purse, double checked to make sure my phone was in it and followed behind him. I signaled to my friend that I was going to be back pretty soon and it wasn’t what they were thinking. Although, I don’t think they listened to anything I was mouthing because they were too busy squealing and whispering. Well… no matter how bad I wanted this man tonight, I just had to prove him wrong. And boy was he going to be shocked.
