The next year of my life was one of the happiest I could remember.
While Lissa didn’t exactly move in with us, she did spend an inordinate amount of time at our place. The house Gwen and I owned was only twenty minutes away from Lissa’s parents’ place, the house she had grown up in. My parents had moved to a different community, still close by but not in the same neighborhood.
Lissa was welcome anytime. It was good our kids got along well together because their parents were having a lot of s*x without the kiddos knowing. But kids are often clueless as long as they and their parents are happy.
