There was nothing to do but wait and see.

Gwen cautioned me that there was a chance that Lissa could miscarry because she was, technically, going through a geriatric pregnancy. Both Lissa and Gwen were over thirty-five so it was a high risk pregnancy for Lissa. Gwen and I were happy to not have any more children.
