Back at my Apartment
" So why are you here sister?
What is on Father's agenda that made it so important that come find me ? " Grey sat crosslegged on my black leather couch, her finger tips tapped her knee impatiently as she waited for her sister's reply.
Scrunching up her nose in an awkward tone, she came right out and stated bluntly.
" I came here on my own accord, daddy has no quarrels with you. I asked him to find you, he simply did as I asked. " She let her messy bun of dirty blond hair fall to her shoulders. She shook her head back and forth. Her hair settled and spilled down over her shoulders. She was as stunning as her older sister, if not more.
Although, she barley resembled her at all.
"I am daddy's little girl, he adores me and will do anything for me, with in reason, of course. " The young girl's voice turned sour, she knew how to put on a good front almost just as well as her big sister, maybe even better. She wasn't the same sweet young girl I bet in the club that night, she was more manipulative and spoiled than I could have even imagined.
" Father always has an agenda! You are the full blood daughter of the Lord of Hades Rachel. He wouldn't have sent you if he didn't have a reason to."
Rachel fumbled nervously with her hands in her lap and it didn't take long for her to make a confession.
She closed her eyes for a few moments as a look of shame filled her face. Flames seemed to rise from inside her irises for a brief moment before returning to an ice blue.
" Okay, sister! " She said holding her arms high above her head. " You got me, I didn't come here just to find you. Mama and daddy had a huge fight!"
As the two spoke, I took to my bedroom to give them some privacy, still hearing every word.
Even the neighbors could hear them at this point, because neither of them were trying very hard to keep their voices down.
I tried to keep my distance but I couldn't say I wasn't interested in hearing more about thier father.
The way they talked about him I would swear he was someone super important. I continued to linger near the crack of my bedroom door, eavesdropping yes, I certainly was. Lie about it, hell no.
" Okay! When aren't they fighting?
Father is the Lord of hell and well Mother, you know how mom is. The two deserve each other if you ask me, only Satan himself can put up with mom. " Gina through her hands up in the air and let them sharply fall to her sides, waiting for her sister to reply.
" Wtf, am I hearing this right ? Your father is Satan? Are you guys just being facetious or is what I am hearing a true statement !?"
I had to break the awkward silence, this argument or discussion, was getting too damned interesting. It was definitely not my place to barge into their conversation but this was all getting too farfetched to ignore any longer.
Both sisters turned to see my head peaking out behind my door. Flames were burning behind Rachel's and Gina's had turned two colors darker. They both looked like they could spit poison out thier mouths right into my very soul or what was left of it.
" You heard right ! " Rachel nodded.
" My daddy is the Lord of Flames ! Now that you know, you can think of how f..ked your life truly is becoming." Rachel's eyes peaked with interest as they ran down the length of my bare chest, before she quickly averted her gaze back to the floor.
" So what are they fighting about now? " Grey interrupted, totally ignoring the fact that I'd walked into the room with only my black jeans on.
" Well, as you know, father has been trying to get into politics! Mother has been helping him for at least the last I know fifteen years! "
Interrupting her, slapping my leg in a " holy s**t" kind of gesture before laughing hysterically.
" You mean to tell me, you and Grey are the daughter's of Satan himself? I mean Gina can be a gigantic bi..h, but I never would have guessed she was also the spawn of Satan!!! "
Gina gave me an eat crap and die look before rolling her eyes in my direction but not before smacking me hard against my greek god like, buttocks. " Ouch! what the hell Grey ? "
I rubbed my bottom with the palm of my hand removing myself from reach of Gina's outstretched leg.
Grey gave me the stink the eye as she folded her arms tightly against her body and lowered her leg down over her other.
" I am not the spawn of Satan, he is my step father and I don't really think of him in a very fatherly way. Rachel is his full fledged spawn, we are only half sisters. "
I blinked and for a moment was oblivious to the two girls around me. Freaking Satan was real, the stories were real, he freaking had s****l relations with Grey's mom ? Wtf!!
What was the world coming too !?
I'm starting believe that anonymous man's theories from the pod cast are indeed very true. If I can be a vampire walking amongst the world, then aliens, demons, angels, f..k bigfoot could even exist at this point.
I took a deep breath and let it all sink in. I stumbled back a few feet and slowly sat down on the arm rest of the couch next to Grey. My mind had definitely been blown tonight.
Rachel stood from where she had been sitting on the far end of the sofa and gave Gina a mean look shifting back and forth of her toes. She looked even mildly embarrassed.
" Look, it's not like I asked to be the daughter of Satan okay! I came here for a reason and you if don't want to help me, there will be hell to pay. ". Her sweet voice had gone back to it's original helpless little girl act.
She played both sides of good and evil damn well. I still wasn't quite certain what side she was really on just yet.
" Okay so you still haven't said what you want! What the hell are you doing topside Rachel? "
Gina demanded, " We both know this has nothing to do with rekindling old friendships or some damn family reunion, what do you want sister?"
Rachel turned here face up towards the floor, her lips turning up into a beautiful smile. She looked more demonic now then a sweet and innocent child. Her eyes were no longer bright ice blue most the golden color has washed it away in the fumes of flames that wrapped around them.
" Fine, I wasn't trying to keep you in suspense sister, I really did want to catch up. " Rachel's head lowered in a gesture of submission.
" So, daddy is in a bit of a pickle, mom locked him, in hell ! They were fighting about a new idea for the presidential election.
You know dad has tried so many times now, always using false names and different human forms.
This times mom suggested he use the form of a man from the islands. Of course he thought it was preposterous, but when elections came and that man won, he became quiet infuriated. " Rachel emphasized the word infuriated by raising her voice. Her eyes lowered to the wood floor below her feet.
" So, dad is throwing a fit, mom locked him in hell, and he wants out? " Grey shuddered, tapping the fingers nervously against her bent knee. " Wait, first off how did mom lock him in ? He owns the place, wouldn't he have a key ? "
I let my back sink into the back of the leather of the couch, the suspense of it all was intense, just as much as learning more about Gina's past, I mean she must be more dangerous and bad ass then I'd ever imagined. That's why we get along so well.
She had secrets more sinister then I'd probably had in all the people I'd tortured and killed. She only shared bits and pieces of her past with me, as we were only barley friends, and on a different plane of existence. We had a hate love relationship, and more of a s****l use me and I'll use you operation.
Rachel let out a sigh and explained, " He does in fact have a key, but mother is wearing it around her neck. She is literally in control of everything, and refuses to let him out until he cools down. " She shuddered, " Where the hell does someone cool down in hell? Generally when he is in a pissy mood, he likes to bring his best buds Hank and Tank, who are also his most loyal demon allies, to the surface.
He never discloses what he most enjoys with anyone but mom and I both know. He comes to sing Karaoke all night until he is too drunk to carry a tune. Tank and Hank, make sure he gets home okay. "
I couldn't help but join in on a laugh that was just starting to fill the room. What on earth, the lord of Hades like to sing karaoke to calm down?
Rachel looked terrified as if she revealed way too much but it was too late now.
" Man he will be pissed of he finds out I told anyone, that was supposed to be a secret between just the two of us." Pressing her open palm over her open gaping mouth, her face began to flush.
Grey and I both replied at once , " No take backs! ".
" But for real, Rachel, like we'd be telling anyone. No one would believe us anyways, besides, no sane person would ever want to f..k with father."
Rachel's face lighten up and her eyes drew back to her sister still sitting crosslegged on the couch.
" I need you to talk to mom Grey, dad is driving me bonkers, I came up here to get away from him, I needed a break. He is like a man who needs his drug fix. I bought him a huge singing machine with all the bells and whistles for his birthday last year but he says it's not the same.
He keeps singing show tunes, no one is safe from it, even if his voice is beautiful.
The tortured souls floating in the never ending fires, are asking, begging me, to tell him to shut the hell up.
They would rather burn in peace. Ummm, it's hell ,I tell them, there is no peace. I can't take it anymore..." She slammed her hands down against her bare legs leaving red marks below where they had pressed into her skin.
Grey tried to hold back the laugher hidden behind her lips, luckily only air came out as she let out a deep breath.
" I haven't talked to mother in long time, I didn't leave her on good terms. Me calling her isn't going to solve anything."
" Please, please, she won't answer my calls. She is so damn stubborn. " Rachel begged as she helped up her hands in complete surrender.
" I can call her right now but damn it, it's not going to make or change her mind. "
