Rachel Elizabeth Dark

1093 Words
I'd been staring too long, the waitress began to become increasingly impatient. Rachel fumbled with the strap of her tube top, and kept looking back towards the bar. Three men in ties tapped beers in unison in her direction waiting for refills. " Sir, were you gonna order a drink or perhaps some fried food ? I really need to get back to work, this is my first night darlin and I don't want to loose the only job my daddy let me apply for. " Tapping her pen to a small pad of paper in her hand she waited for me to reply. " Your first job, wow ! Daddy let you work in a place like this ? My daughter would never work here but whatever sweetheart, none of my business. Bring me a tall glass of your finest beer I guess, if you must. " " And your here for what exactly ? " The young girl replied. " Could it be for the fine food at this establishment? Or perhaps the fabolous atmosphere ? " I raised an eyebrow and shrugged, " Touche, young lady. I am not here for why you might think! I detest woman who strip thier clothes off for money. The sexualizing of young bright women, disgust me. I am actually friends with one of the dancers. I give her a hands up for taking desperate men's money but hey to each your own on your job choice." The girl gave me a mink smile as a blush began to cover her cheeks in rosy red. I'd apparently embarrassed her but that was never my intention. What really drew me to her was her intense ice blue eyes with a golden hue around the iris. Even in the dark of the bar I could see them glowing. I don't know where but seems so familiar, yet she wasn't because of course I'd never met her before tonight. Maybe it's more like, intrigue perhaps? I wasn't quite sure but I would be going through this in my head for awhile until I figured it out. In about ten minutes the young lady came back to my table, looking almost defeated, redness spreading out against her beautiful face. " Here is our best beer on tap. I don't know much about beer sorry. " She practically threw the mug at me, as it banged on the table. " Whoa whoa, Rachel, is it ? I didn't mean to piss you off girl, I was only making an observation and sharing my opinion. " I slipped a fifty dollar bill towards her. " To help your cause! " She gave me a irritated glare, she looked even more upset with my kind gesture. Taking the money into her hand she tossed it back in my direction. She blinked and squinted her eyes, agitation mounting. " I am not here for the money and quite frankly dear sir, I don't need yours! Did you need anything else before I help the other assholes at the bar? " No one ever talked to me that way unless of course it was Grey but Grey was a b.t.h and she knew it. This girl was out of her comfort zone and the sassy side to her did not fit her demeanor. " If isn't for the money sweetie, " I asked gesturing back at the money on the table. " Then why work in a place like this? " Twisting her finger in a loose piece of hair that had fallen from her bun she drew in a deep breath. " Why do you even care? I don't even know you! " Letting out a soft groan, she exhaled. "But if you must know, I am looking for my sister ! " Turning twords the bar and fidgeting with her skirt , she turned to walk away as Gina came walking up. The two women's eyes met and locked , the room felt electrical all the sudden, tension mounting until they both found themselves untangled in a huge hug. " Rachel, what hell are you doing here ?" Gina's expression held confusion yet concern. Her blue eyes looked so bright I thought she'd might cry but she resisted the urge. I watched clearly expecting the women to outright fight it out in a girl to girl battle of explanation but nothing like that happened. The were acting like they hadn't seen other in ages. I never knew Grey had another sister outside from Sarah and this was was definitely not Sarah. She'd never even mentioned Rachel ! The young woman looked deep into her sister eyes as tears started to well up. " Daddy, he told me where to find you, you just up and left, you just disappeared. " Rachel grabbed ahold of her sisters hands. " How could you just leave me there ? That place is hell, why couldn't you have taken me with you Gina ?" Grey let go of her sisters grip on her hands pushing her away. " Rachel, this is no place for you and how the hell did father find me? Lastly, where is mother ? Does she even know you left home? " A look of hurt filled Rachel's face as she looked down at her hands in disbelief. She couldn't believe her sister would just toss her affection away like that. " First off, I don't need to remind you who Father is, he can find out information. He's got spy's everywhere didn't you know? Second off, Mother is too busy running her w***e house, that's all she cares about these days. Lastly, no she doesn't know, not that I will I be telling her either. " As she was about to speak again, I stood up from my table, taking a quick sip of Luke warm beer. Ugh, I wanted to spit it out, the nerve of the girl. She probably grabbed a warm one just to be vindictive. Leaving the unfinished bottle on the table I raised my voice to the two women before me. " Girls, there are better places to have this conversation. We can take it to my apartment if you wish . Although, I only have room for one more on my bike. I didn't anticipate we would be having another join us tonight. " Both sisters eyed me, nodding in unison. " He is right, this is not the place to try and catch up. By the way, Rachel meet Elias, Elias meet Rachel."
