My selfish request.

Angel forgot to tell Summer that she had given Jaden her number because she kept thinking about how he had her number. As a result, during lunch break, an unknown number texted Summer, and although she was in the cafeteria, she didn't have an appetite. So she only had an apple and juice from her tray while the rest were eating. The unknown number read: [Hey] Summer was curious, so she replied: [Who is this?] [It's Jaden; are you still eating, or do you have time to spare?] After Summer read the message, she looked up at her empty tray. [Not busy; is there a problem?] [Come to the boys' locker room; I'm the only one here. No one comes here during lunch.] Summer contemplated for a minute before replying: [Okay, I'm coming there now.] She stood up, making all eyes move towards her, taking her juice in one hand and using the other to bite big chunks out of her apple. She answered the questioning stare with, "I'm heading out." Angel nodded. The rest continued their food and chat undisturbed. Finishing her apple, she returned the tray and made her way towards the boys' locker room, curious about what Jaden wanted. "Hello, Jaden," Summer called upon entering the boys' locker room and still not seeing any sign of Jaden. "Jaden?" She called again, then rested her back on one of the lockers, twisted the cap off her juice, and took a sip while waiting for him. "Hey." "Hey." Jaden came from the bench located at the side of the locker room ate his lunch because he wanted some peace and quiet, away from the noise and gossip. "You wanted to talk?" "Yeah, you've heard the rumors, right?" "Yes." "Come." He led her to the bench where he ate. "You can sit here." "Thanks." As she sat down, Jaden sat right beside her, their shoulders touching. Clearing her throat, she fidgeted a little, then she said, "What do you want to talk about?" "I wanted to ask if the rumors are affecting you, but mostly just wanted to hear your voice and be alone with you," he said truthfully, but Summer thought he was lying playing with her, she knew how handsome guys behaved: looking for girls to sleep with and then dump. Even though she didn't expect him to be a straight-A student, it doesn't change the fact that that's how they usually are, so she brushed aside what he said, trying as hard as she could not to fall for him. nn"Okay, it's not bothering me at all."nn"Is it that you don't care or that you like the subject of the rumor?" he asked, raising a brow, wondering why she was calm when most girls would not. "I don't like the rumors; they're saying that I am a slut, but it will be overshadowed by something new in a day or two. Besides, worse things have happened to me. So don't worry." Jaden frowned. "What worse?" "My ex spread the news in my old school that I am a r****t and that I attempted murder on him." "Yeah, so this is nothing." "Sorry for prying into your personal life, but why would he say that?" "This isn't really personal. But I refused to sleep with him twice. The third time he threatened me, but I still didn't give in." "Did you punch him in the face?" She smiled. "Yes, I did. I also slapped him, kneed his balls while my sister recorded it and posted it, so I am satisfied." Jaden was laughing hard. "I won't mess with you, I promise. I don't want to lose my manhood." Summer let out a low laugh, making Jaden stare, "You shouldn't." She looked beautiful when she laughed; he couldn't take his eyes off her. Snapping out of it, he said, "There is a party this Friday at Jackson's place. You should come with your friends." She wanted to decline but changed her mind. "Text me the address; I'll come." Jaden smiled when he heard this because he thought she would refuse. "Okay." "I should get going." She stood up to leave, but Jaden stood up too and pulled her into his arms. He hugged her tightly with his arms around her waist and his head on her neck, inhaling her scent. "Let me stay like this for a while, please; it's my selfish request." Summer was frozen; she couldn't do or say anything at the moment, but she knew that she liked the feeling of being in his arms. Suddenly, he brought his face in front of hers, and they were staring deep into each other's eyes; nothing else existed at that moment but them. Summer got scared of the emotions she was feeling, and seeing the fear in her eyes, he kissed the top of her head and let go of her, regretting it immediately. Then and there, he decided to do whatever he could to make her his girlfriend. "Sorry, I couldn't help myself." Taking a moment, she replied, "I should get going." Without waiting for a reply, she rushed out of the boys' locker room, leaving Jaden, who sat back down, touched his lips, then smiled to himself. After what happened between Jaden and Summer in the boys' locker room, Summer started avoiding him. She ignored his text messages, hid from him when she saw him, or gave an excuse anytime he said he wanted to talk. It was frustrating Jaden, but he decided to confront her at the party. Angel rang the bell to Summer's house, and his father opened the door. "How can I help you?" "I'm here for Summer." Andrew smiled. "Please, come in." She nodded and then entered the house; both Eve and Elsie were downstairs at the moment, so Angel saw them and greeted their mother, who replied warmly. "What's up, Angel?" Elsie said. "Yeah, are you both going out to a party?" Andrew said excitedly, making Angel smile. "Yes, we are." Andrew carried his wife up and twirled her around due to his excitement, making Eve blush because the guest was watching. "Can I go?" Eve, clearing her throat, replied to Elsie. "No." "Dad, please, I am already 15!" "From next year you can, show Angel Summer's room."
