Chapter 11Melina was becoming frightened. It was hours since Bing had left her. He had told her that he might be some time as he wanted to move around the town and see if he could hear anything that would give him a clue to where the child was being kept prisoner. “Try not to worry,” he had said. “You will be safe here and I promise you I will be back as soon as I possibly can.” It did, in fact, seem to be a safe hiding place although it was so near the marketplace.
