Weeks later, on a radiant day in August, nearly the entire town of Rocky Peak descended on the lodge for Kai and Nicole’s wedding. They had postponed it once again after Jake got hurt at San Nicolo. But now it was finally happening.
In the meantime, little Armando had arrived in the world.
Apparently, Armando was the closest male name to Amanda—or so Birdie, Nicole’s sister, had announced, absolutely delighted by her choice. Nicole and Kai had declared Armando to be the perfect name for the newest Rockwell.
Gracie took charge of him during the wedding. She kept him snuggled in a sling that somehow worked perfectly with her bridesmaid dress of flowing blue chiffon.
Olivia wore a lilac version of the same dress and looked so stunning Jake had a hard time looking at the actual bride.
