2006 Words
Brendan Vink wakes up in the morning feeling bad. Somehow, last night he had a dream about the battle in Perth. Armored soldiers and other monstrous monsters numbering in the thousands appeared from the gigantic gate in front of him. Brendan along with the other soldiers who were in the vanguard tried to withstand the attacks of the monsters. Brendan witnessed the chaos in front of him, where people were brutally massacred by the monsters. The men screamed for help, while Brendan and the rest of the soldiers dared not move forward in fear. The enemy monsters and soldiers seemed to show their ferocity mercilessly. The front line soldiers immediately shot at the monsters and armored soldiers with their rifles. Seen, the bullets from the weapons they shot could not penetrate their bodies and armor at all. The monsters immediately ran and lunged at the soldiers in the front row. Brendan who was also in the front row immediately jumped back and ran in fright. Just then, Brendan woke up from his nightmare. The morning sun shone in Brendan and his wife's room from the side window. The morning sun shone in Brendan and his wife's room from the side window. Brendan immediately got up and sat on the side of his bed. Brendan immediately stretched his back and hands, then stood up and did some movement. It was a very cold morning, making Brendan stabbed by the cold air to the marrow of his spine. Brendan immediately got up and put on the coat his wife had prepared for him. The housecoat had been attached to the chair in front of the make-up table in the front corner of the bedroom. Even though January is Australia's summer month, the morning temperatures are still cold. Brendan Vink walked out of the room to meet his family he had missed for so long. In the living room, Brendan's two children, Harry and Samantha, were watching television. "Father, good morning!" Say his daughter. "Good morning." Brendan replied as he moved to the living room sofa and sat down. His two children were watching a commercial on television, so Brendan didn't know what the two kids were watching. "Are you awake?" Asked his wife from the kitchen which is only a few meters from the living room. "Yes, I don't want to sleep too long." His wife was seen carrying a tray containing several plates of sandwiches and a few glasses of milk. "Wow thanks, this looks delicious." Said Brendan when his wife served the dish on the living room table. "If that's what you think, I hope you finish it." "With pleasure. Isn't Chris awake yet?" "He was up long before sunrise." "Where is he now?" "He's out of the house to start his morning workout." "He's jogging." Say his daughter. Brendan was a little surprised by the activities of his first partner. Looks like he was right, actually trained really hard to become a soldier like him. "Alright, we're back with news regarding the memory of the victims from..." The news anchor starts reading the story after the commercial is over. Incidentally, he was bringing news regarding the commemoration of the victims from the battle in Perth a week ago. "Currently, some of the victims' families can be seen crying around the monument erected by the government in memory of the victims." Brendan Vink was a little annoyed and immediately took the sandwich made by his wife and immediately chewed it. Brendan Vink was a little annoyed and immediately took the sandwich made by his wife and immediately chewed it. Brendan was annoyed that the government could easily clear their names by simply making a monument to the memory of the victims and pretending to be sorry in front of the media. Meanwhile, Brendan Vink and the superheroes who fight to save the city of Perth must accept accusations and insults from all Australians and the world. In fact, now Brendan Vink's rank was lowered by two levels. "The results of the closed military tribunal for Major General Brendan Vink's negligence case have been announced..." Brendan Vink looked surprised when he heard the news narration while he was eating his sandwich. "...Major General Brendan Vink who was found guilty of the casualties in the Perth City attack case on January 16th gets his sentence. Major General Brendan Vink is charged with negligence in leading his army division and is considered to have failed to protect his city from the attacks of the monsters that emerged from a mysterious giant gate. Major General Brendan Vink's negligence caused his division of troops to arrive late and fail to protect Perth City. Major General Brendan Vink was rewarded with a two-level demotion and suspension for an undetermined period of time..." Brendan Vink's two children in the living room glanced at their father who seemed unable to control his emotions. It looks like the father is holding a glass of milk in his right hand which he is ready to break. Meanwhile, his father's face looks very focused with prominent veins on his forehead and sides of his head. "...Currently, we will be interviewing a relative of the victim who was present at the inauguration of this monument." The reporter is seen preparing to interview a man who is said to be a relative of a victim of the attack in Perth a few days ago. The man was wearing thick clothes with a thick cloth jacket and a hat. "Sir, what is your name?" "My name is Albert." "Mr Albert, do you have any relatives or close friends who were victims of the Perth City attack on last January 16th?" "Yes, I am my sister and also a distant friend. They met to live in an apartment only a few hundred meters from where the giant gate appeared." Obviously the man with hoarse voice. "Who do you think is to blame for this sad tragedy?" "If you ask about it, surely they all died because of the monsters that invaded this city." The man replied with tears in his eyes. "But, if the soldiers didn't come here late to help, surely they would all still be alive." Added the man while sobbing. "Mr. Albert, Major General Branden Vink who led a division of troops to help when the city was attacked has received a two-level demotion and suspension. How do you respond?" "The sentence is too light, they should have removed that person and dishonorably dismissed him from the military." Suddenly the television turned off. Brendan's two children immediately looked at their father who was holding the television remote. "There doesn't seem to be anything good on television, how about we finish breakfast without watching television?" Brendan Vink asked his two children. "I think that's good." Harry's answer. After a quick breakfast, Brendan went straight to the gym at his house and did a little warm-up to relieve his stress. Brendan hit the punching bag hanging on the wall with all his might. Blow after blow he launched without slightly feeling tired. Brendan's fierce fist hitting the punching bag caused a loud crashing sound and caused the punching bag to be pushed and swung slowly. He hits Brendan, we can tell all the rage he puts into each fist. Satisfied with more than a hundred punches into the punching bag, Brendan Vink stopped to catch his breath and recover some of his drained strength. Brendan felt he had enough of a few punches. Now, it was time for him to lift some weights to build strength and drain his anger. Two hours was long enough for him to exercise vigorously. Brendan's body was covered in sweat that soaked his clothes. Brendan Vink performs a deadlift with a total weight of 160 kg. Brendan bent his back while gripping the iron bar from his barbell which was equipped with a weight plate. Brendan closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he tightened the grip on his hands. In his mind, he counted three to one. Three... two... At the last count, Brendan immediately lifted his heavy weight with all his might. With the rest of his energy that he has drained, he holds his lifting. In just a few seconds Brendan Vink can hold it. Brendan who could not afford to immediately dropped his burden to the floor coated by a thick mattress. Brendan Vink stood while pulling breath for tired. As he stared at the mirror on the wall in front of him, he was shocked by a shadow of a man who was sitting in a chair in the fitness room. Brendan immediately turned and ready to attack the figure. But his intention to attack the figure soon disappeared when she saw realize if the figure was his first child. Chris was sitting while looking at his father tired. Chris wore a black jacket with a red line on its side and a long-white track pants. The veil on his jacket made Brendan Vink unaware if it was his son. "Hey, how long have you been there?" "Just got it." "Do you want to see me practice?" "No, I just want to continue my training here." "Wow, that's great. Father heard you started exercising since before the sunrise." "Yeah, I need to work hard to become a soldier." Brendan Vink snapped for a moment. He knows if since his first son had to be once the same army as he was. But, after the incident in Perth made himself a little worried about the nation of his son. "Yes, it does need a big struggle for it." "Yes." Brendan feels his son is not wanting to talk right now. "All right, I will go and do all the thing that I need to do. You can exercise as you like, and do not forget to have breakfast. " Brendan intends to leave his son in order to be free to play alone here. "Dad." Suddenly his son calls him, there may be something he wants to talk about. "Last night I've read the news." Brendan was stunned to hear his son words. "Yes, go on son." "I do not care what they say, I believe that you've tried as much to save them all. "Thank you son, it really means to me." Brendan immediately left his son with a feeling of pleasure and proud. His words of the son can give him a little happiness even just for a while. After completing his private lunch, Brendan headed to his room and rested for a moment. He reads several news articles about attacks in Perth from his laptop. Those bastards! He said on his mind. From several news articles that he read, he could not find any articles that wrote accurate news and told the truth. They wrote that General Brendan Vink was too late to enter the battlefield because of his unpreparedness for an unexpected disaster. They also wrote when the troops led by him directly attacked the monsters with heavy weapons without paying attention to the safety of the civilians who were still trapped in the city. Whereas, previously Brenda had asked the deputy mayor about the condition of the civilians in the city, he said that many civilians had died and most of those trapped in it had been rescued. He also said to deal with the monsters without worrying about the safety of buildings and other public facilities. Another article also wrote that Brendan had an argument with the mayor because he did not accept it when the mayor ordered him not to use missiles and explosive weapons that are dangerous for public safety. Brendan angrily closed his laptop and lay down on the bed. He tried to clear his mind so that his anger wouldn't take over him. Brendan knew very well what to do when he was angry. Right now she is at home with his family, Brendan must not hurt them. Most importantly, this problem does not interfere with his family's life.
