Chapter Forty-Five Now that the railing was gone and it had started to rain, Bob suggested they move indoors. “Safety and staying dry go together,” he explained. Sax stood in the middle of the coffee shop with her hands in the pockets of her jeans. Through the windows facing the ocean the inky boiling clouds continued rolling in from the horizon. The size of the waves streaming toward the shore had doubled in size in the ten minutes since she’d been watching. Fat raindrops began to dot the deck and the French door rattled in its frame as the wind strengthened. A storm was on its way and it looked to be a doozy. Shelly the waitress lived in a one bedroom house next door to Coffee Hut. She invited Sax and Cinnamon to use the shower to clean up and lent them bulky sweaters and jeans
