Chapter Thirty-Six
At the dock the paramedics lifted Elizabeth onto a stretcher and quickly rolled her to the ambulance. Bryce sat cross legged on the dock the blanket covering his head and upper body. He held the blanket tight around his neck with one hand. The paramedics wanted to take him to the hospital too, but he assured them once he got some hot coffee in him he’d be fine.
The boy and girl who rescued them were named Ricky and Tania. They were nice kids and had ferried them to shore when Bryce explained how sick Elizabeth was. On the way Tania called 911. The ambulance met them when the arrived at the dock.
