Chapter Forty-One Wally Kelly arrived at the accident scene driving a flint-grey Mercedes sedan after Bryce called him on his cell phone. Maggie sat on the passenger side, her arm resting on the open window frame. Her dyed auburn hair was wind-tossed. She looked so different. She was smiling, joking, and laughing. For a moment it occurred to Bryce that his father may have had the real Margaret murdered and replaced her with a robot duplicate like in the movie The Stepford Wives. “Where’d you get the car, dad?” Bryce asked when the truck rumbled to a stop beside his damaged Hummer.
