Chapter Twenty-One
The next day, after Mrs. Parks cleared Sax to go home, Cinnamon Wolthorp called and asked if Sax would like to come with her to New York. She explained Bryce wanted them to be friends, and besides, she loved New York. Cinnamon said sharing it with someone who loved to shop would be fun.
Why would Bryce tell her she loved to shop? Oh, brother.
Now two days after being released from hospital she sat shivering in the damp air on a cold cement bench under the canopy next to the lobby doors of the hotel where the bus to the airport picked up passengers.
Sax agreed to meet Cinnamon in the parking lot of the Glad Beach Hotel. Sax knew she had to tell Cinnamon she was in love with Bryce but she decided to wait for just the right moment.
