Mount Pelion and the Centaurs The area of Iolkos was a natural harbor in the eastern continental landmass of the Greek Peninsula. Thousands of years later, Jason and the Argonauts would sail out from there on Argo to seek the Golden Fleece. When the couple reached the area of Iolkos and got off the ship, the ship started out its return trip all by itself, without any captain in charge since it was controlled by Oceanus himself. The two of them waved goodbye to it, in a fully emotional moment. Then they thanked Gaia for her contribution and unceasing help, by performing a short, solemn ceremony.
