Zeus observed something quite strange: it would seem that the roads were moving round as if they were attached to an invisible wheel that one had given a strong push. It turned fast, so fast in fact that the forest was gone at once and everything around him turned to deep, brown soil. Then it was as if everything froze and one road remained ahead, only to be replaced soon by the five roads again. As the movement of the circular orbit seemed to slow down, everything seemed to stabilize. At long last, he saw the poor old man sitting before the road ahead, but now he seemed pleased, well-fed and rested, and standing up. Zeus smiled and immediately he turned to the next road and walked towards it fearlessly, directly and steadily.
