Mount Olympus and the Oracle at Dodona Zeus started out on his quest and he soon reached the highest mountain on the Greek Peninsula. He paused a little to gain some of his strength back and admired its beauty. He decided to divert a little from his course and climb to its summit. Once there, he was enchanted by the surroundings he saw there. A wonderful peninsula was stretching south. In the east, he was seeing the Aegean Sea with its scattered islands that like jewels were forming nice patterns. Further to the east, he could see the coast of the Asian peninsula and that is why it was named Asia Minor. In the south, he saw mainland Greece and the Peloponnese and still further south, he could discern an island that had given him cover and protected him from the wrath of Cronos. A tear rol
