The Letter

"Mr. Escribano, could you please answer no. 4? my professor commanded.

I jump suddenly when I heard Mr. Danilo called my name. But instead of looking around to find where the voice is coming from, I remained on my seat while my face was knocked on the table.

"MR. ESCRIBANO!

I was in a bit panic when Kyle has slightly hit my shoulder.

"Ross!

"MR. ROSS ESCRIBANO!

The room went into silent. Mr. Danillo stood up in front of the class. He looks frown and his eyes went small as if he wanted to swallow us whole. He removed his glasses and put them on his head. He put his hand inside his pocket.

"Get out." he pointed his finger outside the door.

I did not say anything. We know exactly what he meant by that so I just took my bag and went outside without saying anything. I just hope to meet Kyle and Todd after class because I don't wanna spent my lunch alone at the cafeteria.

So right now, I'm waiting until the guard to finally open the gate. It's ashamed that I have still enough time to do all my work in my subjects yet I'm here outside waiting the time to pass by. While I find it difficult to convince Mr. Guard to open the gate for me, I decided to walk around so that I also don't look stupid there alone waiting. I went to the cafeteria to get something.

"Hold on a sec. I'll just get my wallet in my back." I told to the cashier. I thought I had enough change in my pocket.

I slid off my hands inside my bag to look for my wallet, but instead a piece of paper fold into 4 showed up. It seem to be a letter because there were traces of writing on the back. I took out the paper and continue to look for my wallet.

So yeah, I walk and walk around for the mean time while having my pizza. I try to divert my thinking to something positive today because a lot of stuff are stressing me out. Exams are coming so soon, submissions of projects as well as about me thinking if I go the field the trip.

For a moment, I just thought about the

letter.

I took it out and started to read. It says:

"I want you to know that I love you so much."

Huh?

I wonder who would put this letter in my bag and tell me such thing. First of all, I am not attracted to anyone. Secondly, I don't think Nyx would put this in my bag either because I know she don't write in cursive. Lastly, If it was Nyx, she is not showing any motives or anything that she likes me.

Anyway. Forget it

"Bro, What happened to you? You slept so much lol." Todd asked me. He was approaching with Nyx and Kyle behind him.

"Mr. Danillo has sent you out in no time." it was Nyx. She laughed a little.

"I know. Haha. Moxie and I went out yesterday because it was her birthday so I thought would be nice treat her on her day.

"Right. Have you found a tent we can use for the camp in Batangas?

"Not yet. I might still need to think about if I will be coming because I don't have enough money yet.."

"Nah! You should come Ross! Didn't our professor told us that we won't need a final examination if we would join in the field trip? Besides it is going to be out first trip outside the city this year. I'm sure you will enjoy as much as I do." Nyx told me making sure her reasons were convincing enough for me to go to a field trip.

"I'll see then but I don't want to make promise.

We didn't able to talk about the trip because all the students started running around towards the gate. We just let everybody to exit the campus so that we avoid stampede. Nyx and I usually spend the lunch together but this time, Todd and Kyle will be coming with us. I and Moxie cannot make it today but I am not expecting since her campus is about 500 meters away.
