I stood in front of the house waiting someone to open up the door for me. For a second, I feel bit of annoyance though my ear lug because the dog is continuously whining from the next door; looking terrified as if someone needs to put him down in order to stop him. It makes me concern whether the dog owner left him to starve there while they where out of town.
I waited.
Again. But there was no hint of movement inside of the house nor any noise in the surrounding. Instead, I made two steps toward, grab and twisted the door handle. The living room was pitched black. Seems like it has never been cleaned for a week.
Where is everybody?
Where is papa? Hasn't he arrived yet? I thought he would be home on Saturday.
"Moxie? I called out.
I put my school bag on the couch then my feet led me straight up to Moxie's room.
"Moxie?
For the last time, I called up her name but no one answers,
I caught in sight of all kinds of her belongings laying on her bed and on the floor. There were also pieces of papers written in a form of Baybayin. Moxie is not here. In a split of second, my heart started to pump rapidly. Where the hell is she?! What is going on in here? Only less than five steps to make it to go to her bathroom. I never had any second thought to go in there before my fear grow even more.
I opened the door...
A moment of silent. Nothing will ever be painful from heartbreak than to being struck by thunderbolts. A sudden drop in blood flow through my body. My jaw freezes even at 32 degree Celsius. My body starts to lose its mobility.
I cannot move...
I cannot breathe...
When I open the door, the corpse was exposed without a sign of breathing. Her arms and legs were filled with hundreds of slits .The floor was flooded with red and thick solution and, even the strongest person can barely witness the scenario. Beside her body laying a pieces of sharp object which I think had cause the traumatic incident.
The water has poured slowly down to my cheeks. The familiar taste triggered me from the day after we went in Batangas. The saltiness of the sea reminds me how I enjoyed the moment I never had during my teen. But right now, I'm afraid that all my feelings will turn into bitterness and turmoil.
I wanted to scream. Smash the wall with my fists. It won't hurt me. I will never feel the pain in my arms even if they bleed. However, I did nothing. I put the inner surface of my hands to cover my face. I feel so helpless and at the same time, I lose my ability to tell how much time had already passed.
What do I do now?
I cannot think straight... After all, I should be the one to blame with all this mess.
And for the last time I was there, I felt someone's hand on my shoulder to help me stand up. A loud, noise was followed from the ambulance, giving the public an alert for an emergency.
