The sun is so bright across the glass window. The cold breeze would come from the North. I'd be staying in bed while looking at all those posters of moon. The ceiling would almost fill the space of images of the moon that I've drawn and painted for many years.
I have my most favorite among those images.
I remember the time when Moxie would ask me the reason why I like the moon so much. I would tell her everything because I don't keep things up from her. I made a promise but she did not.
Moxie. Your name will always be remembered.
It's been two years since she was gone and until now, I haven't figure out the reasons why would she do that to herself. She took her most precious life that many would wish to have. I was told that she has everything that most of her friends envy her. And-- until now, my heart is still broken into pieces whenever I hear someone calls her name.
Every time I would see any of her stuff around the house that makes me remember of her, It makes me feel that no matter I do, I cannot forget her. In those years, my life became a mess. In fact, I had to retake one subject the coming year.
I have had lost all my hopes and wished to not go outside because I was disappointed in life.
But during those years, Nyx, would not miss a day to come to my house to visit me albeit she was busy at school.
"Good morning, pa!" I greeted him. But before I leave the room, I took the Moxie's necklace and put it in my pocket.
"You're awake! I made breakfast just on time," he uttered. "I came early from work and so I made you something to eat so you don't have to cook." he continued.
"Thanks." I sat on the chair and began taking my plate. Then, I saw my father headed straight to his room.
The breakfast, the alarm clock, the morning routine, as well as my father when coming home after work seems an endless pattern.
A lot of things had happened yet my father does not seem interested to talk about Moxie's death.
I cannot tell whether he is also hurt because he does not speak about it at all since the event. I tried to talk to him but he refuse every time. I know it was too painful for him to bear with as well.
"What are you thinking?" Kyle asked me after he stood up and handed the test paper to Pro. Lee.
"All is well, nothing to worry!" I replied. Then, I put my eyes back onto the paper. Honestly, I hated to being asked, How are you? Not sure how many times I would have to lie just to come up with an answer, "I'm okay" thought I obviously not.
"You know where he went?" He asked.
"The other i***t?"
He laughed. "Yes! Oh, Kyle!"
"You should come with us later." Todd insisted.
"I'll be around. Not going out for lunch -- not today." I told him while looking at some group of students who are making noises. I put my face on the table because I finished my exam a bit earlier so now I'm planning to take some rest before my Professor for the next subject will arrive.
"ROSS, LOOK!" Kyle pressed my back with his elbow.
He showed me his phone with a photo of a woman who has this perfect skin with no visible blemishes. The woman was wearing short, tight skirt. She's beautiful, I would say. But, she wasn't the type of a woman I would spend the rest of my life with.
"Sunniva?"
"She just said yes to me!" He said with his eyes wide open with excitement.
"Right. She's the one you keep telling us you met online."
"Want me to help you find one?" He said as if it's easy like was just going to buy something at the supermarket. "I'll take care of everything so you have someone to make an inspiration," he put his arms around my shoulder.
"Nah, I'm good." He's idea makes me cower. I wouldn't want that!
"You have to think about it, Okay?" he smirked then went back to he's seat. "Chat me!"
"Dude, you're crazy!" I shook my head in disbelief.
After lunch, we settled back to the next class because we do not want Prof. Danilo to nag us about coming five minutes late.
So like my usual pattern, we did not much do today at class. Unfortunately, my professor for the last period did not attend us which made the whole class in chaos.
