Chapter 4- Birth!

Varun POV:-
Once her operation started, I ran towards the gynae department. I saw my assistant Arjun. When he looked at me, he looked shocked.
" Where is my sister? " I asked.
" Sir, she is in the labor room. They are going to C-section. Her condition is critical. There is a chance we may lose one of them or both. " He stated. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes to control my emotions.
" Sir, what happened to you? This blood? " He asked, then I looked at my hands and clothes.
" Arjun, I made a mistake. I did the accident of a girl. You need to handle the situation. I will pay for all her expenses throughout her life. But for now, ensure this accident news doesn't reach the media at any cost. " I stated, and he nodded.
" I will take care of everything right away. " He stated and left. I went towards the labor room. I saw Vikas there crying his eyes out. He may be strict towards my sister. But he is a child from his heart. He is very emotional. When he looked at me, he looked shocked.
" Bhai, what happened to you? " He asked.
" I am alright. I heard about it. Don't worry, Vikas. I know my sister. She is strong. Nothing will happen to her. " I stated, and he nodded.
" But this blood? " He asked.
" I will tell you later. But for now, let's focus on Preeti. " I stated. Then I saw the door open and a nurse came out.
" Excuse me. We need an AB+ blood group. Our blood bank doesn't have this type of blood right now. " The nurse stated.
" My blood group is AB+. " I stated.
" Are you injured, sir? " She asked.
" No, this is not my blood. " I repeated this sentence for the third time.
" Alright, please come with me. " She said, and I followed her. We went to the blood band department where I gave them 2 units of my blood after all the procedures.
I didn't go back to the gynae department. I went to the OT room where Nandini's operation was going on. When I reached the OT room, I saw a nurse come out of the room and she looked very worried.
" What happened, nurse? " I asked.
" Patient has a very rare blood group. It's O Negative. Our blood bank gave the last unit to the gynae department. Now, we need it as soon as possible. " She stated, and I took a deep breath.
" I am O negative. You can take my blood. " I heard Arjun's voice. I turned and saw him looking at me.
" Alright, please follow me. " She stated, and we followed her.
This time Arjun gave 2 units of blood after following all the procedures. I looked at him carefully. He may looked stern but his face turned pale.
" Why are you giving your blood? You are scared of needles. Arem't you? " I asked.
" Boss, I may be scared of needles and I know how I am giving these two units. But this blood is to save someone's life who has a rare blood like me. " He stated, and I controlled my smile.
" So, you are brave. You learned to face your fears. " I stated, and he hummed.
After that, we went to the gynae department where we heard the cries of a child. This time I couldn't hide my smile. I looked at Vikas who was smiling while crying. This man is different from all the men I have ever seen. He didn't feel shy to show his emotions.
When he saw me, he hugged me immediately. Suddenly, his face turned pale.
" What happened, Vikas? " I asked.
" I told them to save my wife if there is a condition they have to choose one in both of them. So, if the child is born then Preeti- " He stopped. We looked at the door with fear in our eyes. After ten minutes, the doctor came out of the room.
He looked at us and smiled. He said, " Congratulations, patient, and the baby is safe and out of danger. But you should be careful about them now. Mother should take bed rest for at least a week. After that, she can do a little exercise. "
We smiled at the news and I said, " Thank you so much for saving my sister and her baby's life. What is the gender of the baby? "
" It's a girl. You can meet them after an hour. The mother is sleeping. She will wake after two hours." He replied and left. I smiled at the mention of my niece.
" Bhai, now tell me. Whose blood is this? " Vikas asked after knowing the states of his wife and child.
" I did the accident of a girl. She is in a critical condition right now. " I stated and he gasped.
" What about her family? " He asked.
" I didn't have any contact with her family and I can't do it. Vikas, that girl lost both of her legs as a truck rolled on her legs. " I stated and he gasped.
" What? Preeti is going to be disappointed in you. " He stated, and I sighed.
" I know. But for now. I am waiting for her recovery. " I stated, and he nodded.
" You stay here, I am going towards the OT room. Arjun, you go to your home. " I ordered, and they nodded.
I went towards the OT room. I sat on the chair and looked at the door. To be honest, I am feeling like crying my whole heart. I don't know how I will be able to face that girl. I know she is going to hate and she has every right. I just hope to give her everything she deserves.
