Chapter 9- Meeting her family!

Varun POV:-

When I met her officially for the first time, she roared like a tigress. When the second time she told my sister to come to her, she showed her helpless side which I didn't like at all. I didn't know why but I felt like studying her personality. She is like a mystery to me which I want to solve. No one ever made me this curious about them except her. I sent the nurse to choose innerwear for her while I chose her clothes.

When she wore the clothes I chose for her, she looked so cute. I don't know why but I am feeling a pull towards her.

Can it be that Preeti is right? that she is the one I am looking for?

No, Varun. What are you thinking? That is not true. You are feeling a pull to protect her and her family from the world as you are the one who made her this helpless. You hurt an innocent.

I looked at her. She was looking so worried. She is playing with her fingers while looking outside. Not even for once, she looked at me.

She is different from all the girls I have met. All the girls looked at me like they wanted me in all the ways. But she never looked at me in that way in fact I got the opposite reaction.

I have a feeling that she is going to ask for the bill I paid for her. So, that she can pay me back.

When we reached in front of her home. I stopped the car. I came out of the car and opened the back seat and took out her folding wheelchair.

I closed the back seat and readjusted the wheelchair. I opened the passenger seat and scooped her in my arms. I didn't feel her heavy. I put her in the wheelchair and we entered the road where her home was.

Her neighbors were looking at her with curious eyes. They were whispering to each other. She ignored them and made me stop in front of a home near a shop. I saw stairs at the side of the house. In between the stairs, there is a door made up of steel.

" My home is on the first floor. " Nandini stated.

The door opened and an elder woman came out. She looked at Nandini with worry.

" Nandini. What happened to you? Your mother was so worried about you. " She asked. Nandini smiled at her.

" I met with an accident aunt. He helped me. " She stated and I looked at her with confusing eyes.

" Why is she making me a hero in front of their eyes? " I thought.

" What happened to you? " She asked looking at the direction of her legs.

" Aunt, I need to tell everything my mother first, please. " She stated, and the lady nodded in understanding.

She opened the door, and I scooped her in my arms. The lady looked at us in shock. Then she looked at Nandini's legs carefully. She looked at Nandini with shock. We ignored her and I took her to the first floor. Luckily, the door of her home opened, and we entered inside. I put her on the couch. We heard many gasps. We turned our faces, and I looked at many faces.

There are three females and one man. I didn't like the vibe which came out of him. I saw tears in two females' eyes. One woman is looking in her late 40's. On the other side, the other girl looks looking a teenager.

" Nandini! " " Di " They called her in unison.

" What happened to you? " The elder woman asked.

She touched the head where a bandage was wrapped. Yes, her head had two stitches as well. She looked in a bad condition. She lost a lot of blood that's the reason the doctor didn't want to discharge her.

" Maa, don't come near me for now, please. " She stated with tears in her eyes. But she stopped her tears from falling. Her family stopped and looked at her with a hurt expression.

Nandini looked at her me first then she looked at them carefully.

" Maa, I need to tell you something first. But please sit down. " She said and she looked at the odd couple.

" Can you please give us some privacy, uncle? I want to talk to my family only for now. I hope you can understand. " She stated, and the couple glared at her on their humiliation and left.

I closed the door and looked at them. I know she wanted me to stay here else she would told me to leave them alone.

I sat beside her on the couch and waited for her.

" Maa, I know it's going to be difficult for us to live after you know the truth. But please I want you to be strong. Don't worry, I will handle everything. " She stated, and her mother looked at her with worry.

" Nandini, stop talking in such a way and come straight to the point. What happened to you? How it happened? " She stated and asked.

Nandini took a deep breath. Tears were still in her eyes but she controlled them.

" Maa, I had an accident around 7 p.m. when you called me. But I saw my phone screen broke, I wanted to talk to you, but before I could reach the phone. A truck came and the tyres rolled on my legs. " She confessed, and her family gasped.

She looked at me and said, " He is the one who did my accident. But he is also the one who took me to the hospital. Mom, My operation lasted more than 7 hours. "

She removed the duvet with her right hand while saying, " I lost my legs, Maa. "

At last, tears fell from her eyes. She lowered her face as she couldn't able to face their expression.
