I woke up early the next took a nice warm shower and got dressed for work I walked downstairs and grabbed an apple sense hazelnut wasn't up yet I decided to make breakfast for her to eat later I got on the stove and cooked some eggs and toast. After I finished with breakfast I left a note telling her I went to work then grabbed my keys and and wallet then out the door I went ready for whatever challenge I needed to get through my clients.
Your probably wondering what I do for a living right now. I'm the boss of construction company but if I can prove that I can take care of this business then I will take over my father's company which means more dollar signs for me and less for my older older brother.
My father is one of the richest investor in the business so I'll be happy to take over soon or later just not now cause he don't trust me with the company I don't know why I never knew why, every time I'd ask him he'll either stay silent or say I'm just not ready to take over I mean how hard could it be. right? I got in my car after locking up and putting on the security to make sure raina would be safe.

I left my car parked outside today didn't feel like putting it in the garage the weather changed pretty quickly just a couple days ago it was cold now you can feel the hot humid air all around you.
I got out the car with my laptop in hand I grab my key out my pocket and unlock the door I went inside and closed it behind me I looked around but no sign of hazelnut it was seven at night so I thought she was in her room I went up there knocked before I entered but she wasn't there I started to freak out I went back downstairs after checking all the rooms
"Raina " I yelled but I got no answer
I went in the game room, theater,but she wasn't there then I went outside and saw her sitting down by the pool reading a book. I released a sigh and opened the door before stepping out
"Didn't you hear me calling you "I asked as I made my way to where she sat
"No " she simply replied not even sparing a glance my way
I took the book out her hand 'PLAYING WITH FIRE' the title read
I looked down at her then back at the book"I don't get it"
She got on her feet and try to snatch it out my hand but I put it over my head I chuckled at how short she was
"Give me back the book you" she said with a small frown
"My names Nathaniel not you and not until you tell me what its about" I told her with a smirk
"Can't you read you dumba-"
"Finish that statement and I'll throw it in the pool"I cut her off
She stop jumping and narrowed her eyes at me "you. wouldn't. dare" she emphasis each word
My smirk widens into an evil smile"try. me .sweetheart" I mocked her
She stepped back and stretch out her hand "Give. Me. My. Book" she said through gritted teeth
I lowered the book and read the description, it was simply a love story
"You actually read this crap"I scoffed
I shook my head before handing her the book back
"Make sure you answer me next time I call you so we don't have to have this problem again" I firmly state
She roll her eyes "whatever" she mummers before sitting back down on the edge of the pool with her foot sticking in it
I ignored her reply and walked back inside to get something to eat I open the fridge but to find it blank nothing inside but some yogurt and water and eggs grocery shopping would be nice I thought to myself maybe tomorrow I'm tired right now.
I walked past the fridge but stopped shortly once I saw two pots on the stove I opened the first to see some brown rice with black beans and the second one had sauce with chicken not sure what type of chicken but I didn't care.
I grabbed a plate and put some rice and chicken on it I sat down on the island top and ate. By the time I was done with my food raina came back inside hugging the book like her life depend on it I let out a chuckle which caused her head to snap my direction
"Thanks for dinner It tasted really good" I thank as I jumped off the island table I went to the sink wash my plate and dried it before placing it in the cabinet
"Thank you and you welcome " she walks out the kitchen with her head held high
I smiled at how confident she is I let out a sigh before going up to my own room I grabbed my phone and call Claire knowing that its about morning in Germany since its night over here the phone went straight to voicemail I decide to not even try to call again knowing it would do the same thing again I put my phone in charge and walked to the bathroom to take a cool shower for the humid air to cool down a bit.
After my shower I grab a pair of boxers and went to bed I laid on my back and looked up at the ceiling with both of my hands under my head. My eye brows creased why is it that every time I call her she don't pick up I frown at the thought but quickly shook it from my mind she's probably just busy I know Claire and she wouldn't be with another man and besides what can another man get her that I can't I'll give Claire the world if I have to. Just to prove how much I love her and I'm pretty sure she would do the same for me I know she would I told myself before I slowly start to daze off. Before I could fully close my eyes there was a knock on the door I let out a sigh before answering
"Come in" I said loud enough for hazelnut to hear me
I knew it was her I saw her at the corner of the door peeking her head inside
"I just wanted to tell you that I got this job at the library down the block so I'm not gonna be here tomorrow or the rest of this week until seven " she informed me
I slightly turned my head to face her "good luck" I replied with a small smile
She smiled back before saying a low goodnight and closing the door after I replied.
