I went to the hospital for a check-up and specifically instructed the doctor to bandage me as much as he could. I told him to make me look miserable, if he didn’t mind.
By the time security arrived to get my statement, they had already finished talking to Rebecca.
With the surveillance footage from my office as evidence, it was clear who was in the wrong.
In the end, Rebecca was sentenced to ten days of jail time, which to me wasn’t enough to make a point.
Sadly, I had to see her.
When I finally saw her again a couple of hours later, all her arrogance had vanished. She glared at me with barely contained fury, her teeth grinding audibly, though they never shifted.
"Apologize to me, right away, unless you want me to sue you.”
Rebecca immediately backed down, putting on a fake smile.
