“They say they can get no more out of me,” said the talking Bohdan skull. “They want you and Penelope Preston brought back alive more than they want me. They offer me big reward and pardon to find you. They have another to use for tests now.”
“Who do they have now?” Campbell whispered, but he already knew.
“They find out Tojo escaped prison in Denver and captured him.”
What the hell is Koko doing? Campbell wondered with anger. Did he just go into retirement instead of doing his job?
“I still don't understand why the military would trust you to search for us. Why not send out large search teams of their own personnel to find us if they want us so badly?” Campbell asked, trying to discover how many more teams were searching for them.
“You haven't heard?” Bohdan asked in a surprised tone
