⊰ ʟɪᴀʀ ⊱ ━━ Tyler's pov. "Dude, did you see that chick?" I turned and lifted an eyebrow at my friend, looking at him like he was the stupidest jock in the whole school. "Which one, Jack?" I replied sarcastically, scratching the scruff on my chin as I yawned, resting my eyes a moment. I had a pretty good idea on who he was talking about, but knowing Jack, it could be any girl cute enough to catch his eye. "The one who cried r**e, you know? Brunette chick, blue eyes, kinda hot?" Jack explained nonchalantly, grabbing my arm and steering me towards my class. "Oh. Cassie? What about her?" I asked, cringing inwardly at my attempt to seem disinterested. In truth, Cassie had been the star of my daydreams since the beginning of the year. Until she had cried r**e against one of the jocks. But he didn't need to know that, especially now. "Ask Jonathon to tell you about what she did earlier. Shoulda heard what he said, f*****g funny." I was shoved into my class before I could respond, which was fine by me. A nauseous feeling was bubbling up alongside my guilt, I felt sick to my stomach. I wanted to believe Cassie, but betraying a friend I knew better than some chick I had a hallway crush on? Was it that hard to acquire the truth? Goddamn.
