The Mansion

Stephan froze at the door as he looked at me. His face was turning red then he looked away. I was wearing sleep wear that seems like I'm wearing nothing. It was a pink dress that was very short and sleeveless. It has laces on the bottom and it's very light and soft and silky. It was revealing too much of my skin, legs, and cleavage.

"Cover up!" Stephan said he seemed annoyed and avoided looking at me as he handed me a towel. I took it and placed it on my shoulder. I walked out of the bathroom and ran into the bed and covered myself with the blanket. Stephan didn't say a word and walked towards the sofa near the bed. He will sleep there and I will sleep here in the bed just like when we're in the Kingdom. I tried not to think of anything and reserve it for when I see Lane. I dozed off shortly after.

Stephan's POV.

I heard Elise crying in her sleep then she shouted something about her father that he was hurting her. I went to her and tried to wake her up to tell her it was just nightmares. She opened her eyes and tears kept streaming down her cheeks. She hugged me as I sat on the bed. "I thought my father was here, I..." I hugged her tightly and soothed her until she calmed down. Next thing I knew I was lying in the bed hugging her tightly around my arms. She started to relax and soon she fell asleep soundly. I stared at her, she looked so peaceful and her beauty was like no other. She moved a bit from time to time but only to tighten her arms around me. I can't remember when I fell asleep but I'm glad I slept beside her, hugging her like she was all mine.

The next day I woke up earlier than Elise she was still sleeping soundly around my arms. I kissed her forehead and went out of bed to take a bath and change clothes. I can hear her movements outside the bathroom as she walks back and forth. What's bothering her again? As I walked out of the bathroom I immediately saw her great figure. Her flawless skin is so smooth and glowing I can't help but stare. I want her to be mine forever.

"What's wrong?" I asked. She seemed startled at my voice but immediately smiled at me. "Ahh...uhmm last night, I... ahh" she can't seem to find the right words and she looked so confused yet so cute by the way she act.

"It's okay, I understand that you're upset at what happened back in your kingdom." I replied giving her a reassuring smile.

"I am, but sorry for keeping in bed last night you must really felt uncomfortable and..." I chuckled at what she said. If you only knew had the best sleep last night with you in my arms.

"Don't worry. I'm fine, it's fine. I don't mind, besides I'm always here to protect you, even with your nightmares, Elise." I walked over her and hug her. I don't know why I hug her but I'm happy I did. The warmth of her body were so relaxing no wonder I was able to sleep unknowingly last night. She tensed up at my sudden touch but quickly relaxed. Just as I was enjoying our hug Mr. Hernan came knocking telling us we're about to leave. He came in with another man and took our stuff thankfully I asked Elise to take a bath and change her clothes. We followed Mr. Hernan quickly left the hotel.

Elise POV.

Outside the hotel there was a ride waiting for us Mr. Hernan told us that this is called a car. It looks nice and I feel relaxed inside because it has so much space. Stephan and I were seated as the back while Mr. Hernan was driving. We didn't say much along the way and the car was awkwardly silent. Stephan was staring blankly at the window as amazed as I am with what we see outside the car but I still can't shake off the thought of sleeping next to him last night. It actually felt good, it felt comforting to sleep in his arms. I just met him a couple of days ago and now I seem to have trusted him after all that happened back in the Kingdom, he's all I have now. Mr. Hernan got us some 'take out food' that's what he said it was, we ate it in the car as he drove. What seems like forever and I feel somehow frustrated already when Mr. Hernan told us that we had arrived.

I went out of the car and walked behind Mr. Hernan. I glanced at Stephan who was looking around, observing the place. "Stay close to me" he whispered and I stayed close to him. It was a really huge place like the kingdom but was a bit smaller compared to it. As what seemed to be another butler opened the door for us, I saw Lane my brother whom we thought was dead already. He was standing right in front of me, I don't know what to feel now that I see him. I don't know what to tell him and how to begin telling him everything I just cried like a child right where I was standing. Stephan immediately moved closer to me but he didn't hold me or anything maybe because Lane was here. Lane came towards me and hugged me tightly.

"It's fine Elise, I'm here now." that's what all he said! After all these years of thinking he was gone and he thinks he can console me with those words. I wiped my tears and stared madly at him.

"You left me! I was so scared when I... we... mom was devastated! and ...and she died... I was alone. You never came back!!" I can't seem to find the right words to tell him how hurt I am for what he did and how hard it had been since he left.

"I know, Elise. I know everything that's happening there. That's why I decided that it's time for you to live here now, with me. You'll like it here, it's so much peaceful and I can give you anything here." He said patting my head gently as he stroke my back.

"Lane! Why about your people! They are still there and in danger." Stephan said with so much concern and anger in his voice. He's right all the people that's left there, Mr. Bernon, Melody and the villagers.

"Stephan I understand your frustrations but I want what's best for my sister." he said it so calmly like he doesn't care about those innocent lives that were left there with no hope. I left them there.

"Lane!! We left our people there to suffer!" I shouted at him annoyed at what he said.

"Calm down Elise. I know what you're trying to say and I understand, let me show you to your room first and we can discuss other matters later on, okay?" he held my hand and lead me upstairs. This place somehow looked like the palace but 'modern' as Mr. Hernan had described it.

"You'll be staying here. Stephan will be staying at the room next door and that right there is my room. Get in, you'll find your belongings there and some things I bought for you. I will be right back okay? I just need to take care of some things here in this world." He said then left with Mr. Hernan. Stephan and I walked in our own room. My room was decorated like I'm still in our kingdom but it had more fancy curtains hanging on the side of my bed. There are sofas and other things that are just like when we were at the hotel.
