Chapter 15: The heart's test

Kaida's pov.

After the fight with that person inside Jason's body, that 'person' fled off to somewhere. He better not go after Raven or he's dead meat for dinner.

I ran over to the house and to my horror Flare and uncle Buck were on the floor passed out and injured, "Oh I'm so gonna kill you, little bastard." I whispered to myself. I then growled deeply and marched upstairs, My anger was so strong it caused the stairs to have burn marks of my feet, "You come in here and mess with my friends, knock my family out, and target my beloved. You better hide and pray you little bitch." I said with the beastly voice I have. I wasn't afraid to kill this person somehow because I felt like he deserved it.

I walk up to the room and open the door only to get punched the f**k out of me. I flew off the second floor and hit the wall which gets destroyed until I crash outside, "E-Eugh...The hell was that...?" I groaned and tried to get up. I then heard a familiar voice mixed with that dude's voice, "Hurt's huh? Damn this chick's powerful!" They said then I saw a pair of jet black wings clear out the smoke. I widened my eyes, "Oh now I'm gonna rip into tiny f*****g pieces and feed you to pigs so when you get digested you'll go back to being the pig s**t you are!!!" I roared at him and charged at my possessed beloved with the mark glowing and emitting flames.

"COME HERE YOU PRICK!!!" I roared out in rage and tried to strike at Raven but then I looked at her and suddenly saw her begging me to stop hurting her so I froze. He then smirked and hit my stomach, "YOU CAN'T HIT HER CAN'T YA?!" He yelled as I flew back again but this time I had a hard time getting up. I coughed, "T-The f**k is wrong with me?" I asked myself, "You let your heart think instead of your head in combat! Heh...I should really use this bird more often! She'd be a nice tool to kill you with!!!" He said and used Raven's wings to charge at me. He grabbed my leg and slammed me to the ground pretty hard.

I winced and tried to break free from him. Jason and Ignatius tried to help, Jason grabbed his ax, "Hold on Kay!" Jay said. I stopped the two, "No! D-Don't hurt her! It's me he wants! G-Get out of here!" I warned them as he chokes me, "Aw...How heroic of you. Demon." He grinned, I grip Raven's arm and struggle to talk, "Y-You speak like I'm w-worse than y-you are!" I said and coughed from his hold of my neck. It's very hard to fight when your enemy's using the body of your loved ones you know. He laughs, "I'll end your life as easy as snapping your neck in half so you can finally shut your mouth and I won't have an i***t bugging my plans." He said.

Wow...That triggered an old memory of mine

At that moment he said those words, it triggered a flashback to the time I was still in Celosia as a kid. Since I'm a half Moon Hound but mostly human, the other kids didn't like it as much as my uncle told me they would. I was sitting in class back in the 1st stage of school while waiting for our teacher to come in for the day. I was very excited to learn as a child since you can get information about new things every day and get better at thinking through situations and stuff like that.

I looked over to the other kids and saw them playing, I wanted to play along so I asked them, "H-Hewwo...Can I play too?" I said while having my head down and my tail swaying behind me, "Ew! I hate dogs!" One of them yelled, "B-But I'm nice." I said to try and make them consider playing with me..but I really couldn't. I looked down and whimpered, "Go away!" Another one of the kids said. I was just silent until one of them said to me, "No one likes a bugger like you! My dad said you guys are bad! Shoo!" Now growing up, I never really had friends because I just spend my time with my uncle at the farm and stuff like that.

I walked back to my desk and lowered my head to the table. I didn't know what to feel at the time...Should I be angry and fight back? Or should I be upset and just let them do what they want since I didn't know what else I could do.

After that horrible memory of my childhood, I came back to reality.

I growled and lost control again but this time I let my anger flow freely. I roared and my eyes started to glow brightly while the grass started to burn and wither away. Ignatius was watching along with Jay, "She's going berserk. This happens when she sees a horrible memory or she just gets really triggered and eventually blowing! Jason, Run!" He yelled and ran away with them since the heat was too much. Jason yelled, "Ow! What the hell?!" He yelped as his leg was a little burnt, "Run as fast as you can!" Ignatius said while booking it away from the fight.

I kept roaring out to my anger and grabbed Raven's hand. I couldn't control what I was doing or what the demon inside me was doing. I then kicked her away causing her to get thrown upwards pretty far. It felt so good to let out my anger for once. I growled and grabbed a tree and gripped it. The tree then started to burn from the contact, "ALL THOSE WORDS! ALL THOSE REJECTIONS FROM PEOPLE I WANTED TO TALK TO!!! ALL THOSE f*****g HURTFUL ACTIONS TOWARDS ME!!! THEY WILL ALL PAY?! STARTING WITH YOU!!!" I roared out and threw the blazing tree to Raven or to the one possessing her.

It hit her. She falls down to the ground groaning with a mixed voice, "E-Eugh...W-What in hell are you...?" They asked, "I'm your worst f*****g nightmare, you b***h!!!" I roared out and charged at them. As I ran towards the, I created a burnt path. I then jump to strike at them only to get hit on my leg with a knife Raven had on her for self-defense. I groaned and fell to the ground. They then stood up and tried to run over but the owl arrived and helped to pull the person inside of Raven out, "NO! W-What are you doing?! Stop you old fart!" The person yelled as they got pulled out of my beloved.

I lay on the ground weak as my energy started to get drained probably from the sudden burst of power. Raven crashed to the ground mid-flight, passed out from the injuries she got. I looked at her in horror and thought, "I-I did this to her..." I said to myself in my head. Her wings were injured and her jet black feathers were burned. I tear up and tried to crawl to her. I coughed and forced myself to get up, "Be careful, child. Do not force it or the pain will be worse." The owl said to me. My vision was fading, "R-Ray..." I mumbled and reached for her but I fall from being too weak and injured.

After a few hours, I woke up in so much pain and in a little inn, "W-Where am I...?" I groaned and tried to sit up to see for myself. I winced and held my side from the pain from there, my back, my ribs, my leg from the cut, and everything else. I looked around and saw Raven a few beds apart from me, badly injured. I widened my eyes in horror of seeing her in that state. I whimpered and held my head and I heard a voice in my head. It was the dark side of my thoughts, "Do you see that? You did that to her! You hurt her! You are such a monster. What if you killed her? You'll be in the fault of her death you f*****g i***t!" The voice said to me. I could stop the voice or block it out at all.

I whined and punched at my head, "N-No! I didn't mean to! I'm sorry! I-" I was cut off by Flare, "Hey hey hey! Calm down..." She said to me. She had a bandage on her head and arm. Nothing too bad, "W-What are you doing here...?" I asked her, "Where's uncle...?" I asked her again. Flared sighed and sat down next to me, "He's at home don't worry, he's okay." She reassured. I looked down and shuffled away from her, "Y-You should stay away from me...I'm a monster...I might hurt you too or worse..." I said while crying into my arm while hugging my legs. She huffed, "Hey come on...You're not and even if you are you're still my cousin. I know you wouldn't hurt me and if you did you didn't mean it." She said to me and patted my back as I looked at Raven and regretting the day I got my powers.
