Marigold POV
There was a silence in the air whilst I concentrated my gaze on the fireflies lake. The soothing and flowing water calmed my mind and the proximity between us my heart raced hard but I managed to keep my calm.
"Do you ever wonder why I do not want a mate?" I was suddenly out of the blue.
