When the men joined us, I was forced to keep everything I wanted to say to Julian to myself, at least until after they left.
“We are enjoying it immensely, Gregory,” I replied smoothly, leaning into Julian's side with a smile. “The ambiance is just lovely, and my husband has been absolute perfection tonight.”
Julian stiffened beside me. “It is an absolute honor to be here, gentlemen. Savannah has been telling me so much about the history of this valley, I am already seeing exactly why her family is so fiercely protective of it.”
