Alina watched as Lorraine walked around the flower shop, talking to herself while fixing a bunch of sunflowers.
“Does this even match? Maybe too much yellow…” Lorraine tilted her head, thinking hard.
Alina smiled. Lorraine looked happy now, a big change from when she’d been complaining about being bored. She looked calm for the first time in days.
They had spent hours at the shop, helping arrange flowers, talking to customers and Alina was glad she brought her as it gave Lorraine something to focus on.
But the sky was already starting to get dark.
She gently tapped Lorraine’s shoulder. “I have to go now, before Aiden returns”
