Alina had just seen Mandy off and was about to head towards Aiden's office when she spotted Jesse exiting the elevator. He looked slightly distracted but still alert.
"You’re heading to Aiden’s office?" he asked, walking to meet her.
Alina nodded. "Yeah. I brought him food earlier and… I just wanted to check if he's eaten."
"Oh, I’m headed there. Let’s go together.” Jesse replied.
They walked down the hallway, silence between them. But Alina’s chest tightened with an uneasy feeling she couldn’t quite explain. Something felt… off.
As they reached the office, Alina moved ahead, her hand instinctively going for the office door.
It wasn’t locked. She pushed it open gently, and the scene before them made both her and Jesse freeze.
