Alina realized it was pointless to keep talking. He wouldn’t listen, his mind was made up. And judging by the way he was driving, he clearly had no intention of stopping anytime soon.
She sighed quietly, reached into her bag, and pulled out her phone. Her fingers quickly tapped on Lorraine’s contact.
The moment the call connected, Kelvin’s eyes darted toward her. He reached out, trying to snatch the phone.
But Alina raised it out of his reach.
"You think I’d call the cops on you?" she said, scoffing incredulously. “If I really wanted to destroy you, it’d be too easy. And trust me, I wouldn’t settle for the cops."
