    The young man was leaning absentmindedly over the window, his hands grabbing the sill, trying to temple his nerves. It had been two hours since his warriors were gone and they have not reported anything through the mindlink yet. It was freezing outside and the snow was covering the floor with a spectral cloak of white. This year, the snowy season had almost reached the spring making the harvest harder to plan and the supplies had almost run out. Besides, the dammed usurpers’ attacks had been more frequent and devastating despite the cold. The young man sighed, trying to clear up his mind. He was the alpha now, he had to be the strongest werewolf, to stay still despite the difficulties, to find the best way for his pack to survive.
