Elara felt her body sore and heavy. She couldn’t find the energy to open her eyelids but she knew it was late at night by the darkness around. Her back and limbs were lying on a soft, warm bed so she realized she wasn’t at Landon’s family house. She tried to move her fingers but a strong grab was sticking her hand to the mattress. She groaned and fought to open her eyes when she felt someone sit on the mattress beside her.
“Eliza?”
The princess didn’t expect the voice that called her fake name at all. She wished she could jump from the bed and run as fast as possible but she could only find the strength to groan once more.
“Let me help you” He said while pulling her up from her armpits and carried her some more cushions to help her keep seated. “How are you feeling?”
