New moons were notoriously known to be the "baby-making" time of the month. Old myths told that you needed a new moon in order to be turned into a Lycan, which in a way, had some truth. The truth being that they were definitely made… but in the womb.
The new moon would drive our beasts with a pressing need to mate, especially those who've found their Animus. Noone really knew the reason why, nor cared since most went along with it anyway but when that time would come, I would keep to myself.
