“Brother, what’s our progress?”
Mikal was leaning over test tubes on the large counter, staring hard at nothing. On the outside, he looked his usual pristine self with his tailored cream trousers, buttoned white shirt and neatly combed hair. But on the inside, I could practically see the storm he was having in his mind. We had both hoped to have the cure in our hands by the end of this week but today was the last day and all the tests had failed.
