“I don't think I stammered, now did I?” Ryder said more to the manager, than to Valkyrie and me.
Instantly, the manager shook his head and bowed, “Of course not Alpha, my apologies for my imprudent behavior.”
He straightened up calling his assistant, “You heard what the Alpha said, send the dresses to the Pack house immediately.”
His assistant stared at him like he had grown a second head, “But Sir, we can't do tha—”
The manager cut her off before he could even finish her sentence, “Do you want to go against our alpha, I expected better from you.” He shook his head in annoyance, “Do what you're told or else you're fired.” Instantly, the assistant left to do as she was told but not before glaring at me, how imprudent.
“Ryder, you don't have to do that,” I spoke
