Why are you not saying anything ? I know you probably don't want this and I don't either but you should at least say something to me " he kept staring intently at me

"If you don't want me to spank you all night till your little cheeks turn red I suggest you keep quiet and take up a good wife act" he said in a low tone as his eyes darkened.

"If we are going to stay married I suggest you start learning to keep your mouth shut or I can help you fill it up" he said as he moved closer and I moved backwards untill I hit the wall

"And do you think I wanted to get married in the first place you are a f*****g burden to me candle"I nodded as he continued looking me down his eyes were literally bulging out of his head

"I believe you can talk,baby girl use your words "

"I got it" now I'm scared. Suddenly he raised his hands I flinched as I close my eyes expecting pain but all I felt was the cold breeze coming from the opened door. I opened my eyes to see that he was gone. That was not how I wanted my wedding

night to go.

For the following two weeks I didn't see him but I know he comes home because the room is always smelling of cigarettes and alcohol by morning. Happy married life to me. For the two weeks I met setting up the mansion making it feel like home to me while also getting to know the quirks of the Antonio family. Even though Antonio had given Nicholas control over all his business he still sees his son as incompetent and they hate each other’s guts.

The maids think they are very good at gossiping and whispering but I hear everything that goes on in the house.

I really wish my life could have been different ,wish I was not born into a mafia familia that prioritizes connection and agreement over my personal interest.

I watched people move about the house decorating and setting up for the party. I hate having people in my personal space I know it's not my house but I live here now.

I and Nicholas have been married for a month and this party was to make an appearance as a couple for the public that's what my life has come to.

I wonder if I would still be able to go back to school after the summer break comes to an end. I’m in my senior year and I can’t wait to be done with high school already.

Ma'am " the voice of Camille one of the maids brought me out of my thoughts

"The event coordinator wants to know if you want the colour theme to be purple or brown"

"Brown"I said absentmindedly as I stared at the lake at the back of the house. I wish my life can be as peaceful and quiet as the lake instead of being stuck here planning for a banquet that I didn’t request.

"Definitely not "I said angrily as I heard the name that I haven't heard in months who the heck added his name to the guest list .

"But Mr Ramirez added his name to the guest list" the event planner said timidly.

"Mr Ramirez personally requested we send an invite to him"she added

Great just great my husband just had to invite my shitty ex boyfriend Romano. Tonight is gonna be a long night.

I stared at our wedding picture that is positioned on my desk. She looks so beautiful in her wedding dress, I love everything about her the way she talks the way she dress and carry herself she's so graceful can't forget the way she blushes everytime she gets excited.

When I saw her walking down the aisle I was definitely shocked to see the woman that has been invading my dreams right in front of me.

When my father told me he arranged a marriage with his friends daughter I don’t bother to make a background check because I know I only have one woman on my mind. Who eventually turns out to be my bride.

Even though I have been scared to admit and confess my feelings I know I'm in love with her

I'm afraid she's gonna leave me if I show any form of vulnerability.

Candle

The ball room was filled to brim, I know many people will come I just didn't expect this number of people to show up .They all wanted to show respect to the new power couple of the underworld. While my dad and Antonio are mafia men they cover it up with streaks of legitimate businesses.

To the world My father is the CEO of Novena group of companies and Antonio is the head of several investments. Only the people of the underworld know that this marriage is only a display of alliance between two great powers. If my father has enough power to go against Antonio this marriage wouldn’t have happened.

I smile as guests walk into the glamorous hall, I was standing with Nicholas as he held me in his arm. I look up at his face trying to guess what was going on in his head. He's all moody and he looks disgruntled I know he didn’t want this ball. I eavesdropped on him vehemently disagreeing with his father.

The sound of clinking glasses brought me out of my thoughts. " I want to raise a toast to the happy couple once again. My beautiful daughter who has now blossomed into a woman and Nicholas who is now also a son to me"

Everyone raised their glass toasting. I finally walked to my table to seat down after spending the whole night greeting guests.

"You got married and didn't tell me ?" I heard that familiar voice behind me.
