Chapter 13

Trixie

Two weeks had passed, Troy was already home. Christoph took care of me when I got sick. He always looked after me. Claire barely talk nor see me. Was she avoiding me?

Christoph always texted me if ' I'm fine, I eat breakfast; lunch; dinner'. Before, I was very lazy texting someone but now I always reply to his messages. I was avoiding him but I'd realized that it couldn't help. I am very comfortable being with him and I couldn't stop myself for trusting him. Troy went abroad last month after out of town with his girlfriend. He worked in here just to look after me. Actually, Troy graduated as marine. That wasn't his choice, that was our parents. Well, thanked God they trusted me to live by my own this time. I think they realized that I am mature enough to take care of myself.

Christoph asked me to have a dinner date. I don't know the reason why he invited me. All I know is I'm comfortable by just being with him. I hadn't hangout with them because of work. Christoph fetched me from my work.

Christoph: "I thought you'll set aside my invitation, again. Just tell me if you're not feeling well."

Trixie: "Why would I? I'm always okay, Christoph. Don't bother yourself."

Christoph: "How are you? Are you still hanging out with Jake and the others?"

Trixie: "I'm fine though. I haven't hangout them yet, again since last month."

Christoph: "Could you go to our house next month?"

Trixie: "For what?"

Christoph: "Honestly it's my birthday."

I laughed.

Trixie: "Then, Happy birthday!"

Christoph: "Please on that day."

I just nodded.

Christoph: "Really?"

Trixie: "Seems you don't like so I'll take it back."

Christoph: "I was just so happy that you accepted my invitation. Thank you Trix."

Trixie: "Thank you 'cause you care to invite me there. You're one year older than your brother."

Christoph: "Yeah but our youngest brother was far from Jan's age. He is only 9 years old."

Trixie: "That's what family planning are for."

I said jokingly and he then laughed.

Christoph

Trixie: "Are Mike and Claire always together?"

Christoph: "I don't know. Why?"

The expression on her face changed.

Trixie: "Well I noticed they've been together a lot of times.. or maybe I was wrong. She doesn't go to our house anymore, not even bother to send me any messages unlike before that the storage of my phone gonna explode because of her this and that and worsts of all she didn't remind me that we would go home together. That was kinda' weird. It was a sudden change."

Christoph: "Maybe she's too busy."

Trixie: "We are in the same company and yet she can't go with me or at least spend a little time... Hays..."

Christoph: "Maybe you used to be with her that's why you always finds her presence."

Trixie: "Maybe..."

Christoph: "Let's not just talk about them. How are you?"

Trixie: "Oh here your question again! I'm fine."

Christoph: "Let me finish first. What I mean, is it okay livin' alone?"

Trixie: "I used to. To be honest, he just stayed and worked here for one year to take care of me. That was our parents choice not his. They just waited to finish my study and now that I'm done and working, it's alright for them that I am livin' alone. And they trust me so well."

Christoph: "Can we dance?"

I was really nervous asking her that.

Trixie: "Huh? A-ah..."

She stuttered. I lend my right hand to her and she just looked at me for a while then she take my hand. I was looking at her the whole time we're dancing. I also told her 'You're beautiful' and she said 'Thank you'. After that I took her home.

I couldn't forget how she laughs and smiles even how she smirks at me. She's really beautiful. Honestly, that date or everytime I asks her for a date was not on our deal. It was a beautiful night. I don't know where would these feelings brought me.

After one month, at last, the day I was waiting for. It's my birthday. All of our relatives and friends were all here except from Trix. I was waitin' her since my birthday celebration started.

Luke: "I know who you are waiting?Trixie."

Christoph: "I don't care if she will come or not."

Jake: "Ows? Why do you always asks her for a date? Haha"

Christoph: "Nothing."

My parents were talking to someone outside. I went out to see who it was. It was Trixie. I felt happy. It was like my heart jumped the moment I've seen her talking to my parents.

Trixie: "Happy birthday Christoph! Sorry if I was late.

Christoph: "Thank you!"

Mom: "So is she the girl you were waiting James? She is beautiful."

Trixie: "Thank you!"

Mom: "You're welcome."

Christoph: "Kanina ka pa? Why didn't you text so I could fetch you?"

I asked her as soon na malayo na kami kay mom.

Trixie: "Actually, kakarating ko lang. Birthday mo naman kaya I didn't bother you para sunduin lang ako. Your parents are nice, really."

Christoph: "What did they tell you?"

Trixie: "Nothing. They just asked me if I'm Trixie."

Christoph: "Is that all?"

Trixie: "Yeah... why?"

Christoph: "Nothing."

Trixie: "By the way, this is for you. Hope you'll like it."

She gave me her. What is this? It was a red box.

Christoph: "Thank you Trix! Of course. Galing sa'yo ."

Trixie: "Ewan ko sa'yo."

She scourge my shoulder. As we entered our house Jake, Luke, Lee, Simon, and Sam were smirking at me while Claire had her poker face and Mike were looking at me furiously.

Sam: "Long time no see Trixie. You becomes more beautiful and payatot."

Trixie: "Di ba pwede sexy na lang kaysa payatot. Di naman ako nagda-diet."

Sam looked at me and spoke again.

Sam: "I can't say that word baka kasi may magalit dyan sa tabi-tabi. But you are really beautiful."

Trixie: "Kaya madaming nai-in love sa'yo dahil sa pambobola mo. Hays... wag mo ako dalihan ng ganyan."

Trix pushed Sam so she will sit beside him.

Sam: "Ouch! Kaya nai-in love sa'yo si Christoph. By the way, isa ka ba sa mga nai- in love sa akin?"

Trixie: "Of course not but if you want... I will. Do you want?"

I was gettin' pissed off on how they talked. Masyado syang game sa lahat ng biruan. What the hell! Am I jealous? I don't like her!

Luke: "Sa akin ka magka-crush liligawan kita ngayon once you say it. Crush kasi kita."

Is it a joke? Why it seems so real?  Bakit ganito sila ka blunt magsalita?

Trixie: "Oh sige..."

Then she laughed.

Luke: "Did you heard it? Hey Christoph okay lang daw. I'll court you now."

Trix frowned and asked ' Di ba nagbibiruan lang tayo?' and Luke answered 'I'm serious. Okay that was just a joke'. Then they both laughed.

Jan: "Hey kuya kasama mo pala si Trixie. How are you Trixie?"

Trixie: "Hi nice meeting you again. Ikaw kamusta?"

They talked like they knew each other for so long. What the! Dagdag pa ito sa kalokohan eh. Jan always asked me about Trix since he had met her in his birthday. Does Jan like her? Maybe... because he's one year older than Trix.

Luke: "Ah may kaagaw na pala si kuya Christoph. Wag kasi pabagal-bagal para di maunahan."

Christoph: "Pwede ba tigilan nyo ko? Wag nyo ko isali sa pag-uusap nyong ganyan."

Then they laughed. Damn it!

Sam: "Actually Jan you're just one year older than Trix. So may pag-asa ka pa."

Jan: "Really? Ang aga mo naman makatapos ng pag-aaral."

Trix smiled at him. My anger getting worsts. I sipped one bottle of beer and I heard Trix.

Trixie: "Saan may pag-asa?"

Eto na naman po sya sa pagiging manhid at inosente if someone likes her. Napakatanga naman talagang babae oh!

Christoph: "What the f**k! Tigilan nyo na iyan."

Trixie: "Christoph are you okay? Birthday mo pa naman tapos ang init ng ulo mo."

Christoph: "I'm fine."

Luke: "Bro I think you're jealous."

Christoph: "Oh damn it! I'm not!"

Trix looked at me then laughed. Pinagkakaisahan ba nila ko? Dapat naiinis na ako with her reactions but it turned the opposite.

Trixie: "Jan you have attractive eyes."

Jan smiled like he's in heaven. She really brought up that.

Jan: "Really? But sabi ni kuya panget daw mata ko. Ikaw una nagsabi nyan. Thank you!"

Are they pissing me off? What the f**k! I can't handle this situation anymore!

Christoph: "It only means she's blind, and to think na sya lang nakapansin."

Then they all laughed. Trix was just looking at me.

Trixie: "Are you sure you're really okay? Is there anything bothering you?"

Sam: "Yeah baka kasi maagaw ka daw. That's the main reason."

Then Sam smirked.

Trixie: "Shut up. I'm not talking to you."

Sam: "Fine. Sorry. Pareho kayong topakin."

Jan: "Kuya mukha talagang may problem ka and you look angry. Kanina ka pa may toyo pagdating ni Trixie."

Claire and Mike were looking at me. The deal! I received a text message from Mike, Are you starting to fall for her? Ngayon pa lang talo ka na.' and he put an evil emoticon. Darn!

'Of course not. It was just one of my moves to get her attention.' I replied.

'Why it looks so real? Remember if you fall for her you'll definitely loose your car, motor, and most of all the flat that your parents gave but that doesn't matter kahit di ko na kunin iyon basta sa akin si Trixie.' He sent.

He was too obsessed to Trix. I don't have to fall for her because Mike might get her. There's no turning back. I was like in hell though.

Christoph: "Trix can I just talk to you? sa labas."

Trixie: "Yeah sure. Saglit lang naman yata sasabihin mo."

We walked outside until we reaches the park.

Christoph: "Trix..."

Trixie: "Yeah. What are you gonna tell me? Andito na tayo sa park."

Christoph: "Do you like him?"

Trixie: "Huh? Who?"

Christoph: "Do you like Mike?"

Trixie: "Yeah as a friend. Why?"

Christoph: "What if one day you like him, not just a friend? Will you tell it to him?"

Trixie: "You're acting so weird. It won't get further than that... friend for me is just a friend. "

Christoph: "Okay. T-Trix what if I court you, would you allow me?"

She was like 'Huh?' I looked into her eyes. She's really beautiful. She was just looking at me, too. I came near her. I held her shoulders. She was stiffened. The intense feeling I have for her everytime she's with me or I was just thinking about her. I was holding her gently. I could feel her breathe. She seemed not scared at me. It was like we have the same feeling for each other when I looked into her eyes. The feelings of longing for her lips occupied me.

I kissed her passionately while I was holding her although she was not responding. She was the only girl who brought this intense feeling even she's too innocent. She was standing still. She didn't made any actions that tell me to stop. As we parted she was catching her breath as well as mine too. I looked at her. She stared on the ground blankly. I was waitin' for her slap but she didn't.

Christoph: "I- I'm sorry Trix."

Trixie: "I- I going home n-now. H-Happy b-birthday again."

Christoph: "Trix lets talk."

She left me in the park. I didn't run after her because I was scared that she will get really angry at me. This can't be! Yeah... maybe I like her but it wasn't love. I'm sure not so sure?!
