TRUTH REVEALING-JEV AND ZEKE

That boy…

Yes indeed he was just a boy. A lost pup, living in shadows, a king of ruins, ruler of the fallen ones. His eyes were much older than him. He was tired I could sense it, tired but not physically, he was a wreck of emotions.  I wanted to take his pain away when I saw him. Why?

I was trying to keep myself together but luckly a mating incident happened just in time. Thank God. Gamma of Zeke was an unique kind of girl at the first sight. Her features were almost beautiful but it was obvious that she made an effort to hide them. Man style hair cut, thick eyebrows which are untouched, no make up of course and plain clothes almost over comfortable. Her posture was masculen it was known that she had a proper training over years. Moon God had his mojo once again. Jacob was like a son to me and I knew his taste in women was bizzare. He was well buileded and also well trained, a decent boy with a gentlemen’s manners and a loyal pack member. But to be honest he was not an attractive male that girls can dream about. Not an ugly one but not a god looking one too.  He always hated girly girls but then just the second he saw Avery I was sure that their mating was a bull’s eye for him. If I would pass the pack to him as an alpha then Avery would be an ass-kicking luna which is so good. Suddenly I wished my dear Angie could find her mate too. She needed someone to love and forgot about her lonely life. Then suddenly my heart skipped a beat. What if that Zeke boy was her mate? What if he would find out that and try to take her away. Fate is a b***h as far as I knew but what if she would live same life as her mom? Than I shrugged and heard Angie’s voice.

“ Uncle Jev! We need to talk!” she shouted from a distance with fire on her eyes.

“Whooa Angie!! Calm down, what is it?” I asked.

“Is that true that Jake found his mate?” she asked furiously.

“Y-yes it just happenned a minute ag—“ I tried to tell.

“And you did not tell me Uncle! How dare you!!” she was gone completely mad.

“You know me, Jake and Hope are practicly siblings and you decided to keep these news for yourself. “ she said dissappointedly.

“Oh God, Angie give me a break love. This was happened just 5 minutes ago. Are there any cameras or someone is broadcasting our life as Big Brother Show? I can’t believe these kind of news are spreading like an airborne virus.” I answered her and shake my head.

“Well uncle this was not any regular news so our little gang is becoming crowded. Sorry about overreacting by the way. I thought you learned the thing before. “ she said with a shy smirk. I just smiled as an answer.

“ As you see we have guests and I think you and Hope are able to show some hospitality and can arrange a delicious and stylish dinner for all of us tonight, right?” I asked her.

“ Everything’s already done Alpha. I might not be a Luna but I am so good at covering a Luna up.” She winked and hugged me. We walked to the pack house together. She went to kitchen wing and I was headed for my office.

“Twain, meet me in my office in five.” I mindlinked my beta. I had that strange feeling. Something would definitely happen soon but I could not figure it out. I cursed on this paranoid Alpha senses of mine once again and continiued walking to my office.

I sat back and tried to do some paperwork when I was waiting for my beta. Then he knocked on my door. I didn’t shift my head from the work in my hand and just answered the knock with a dull “Come in.”  I immediately realized that the scent was not belong to Twain then I lifted my head up and saw him. Ezekiel…

“Sorry to bother you Alpha Jev. But I need to talk to you right now.” He said with a strange anxiety in his voice.

“Oh Alpha Ezekiel you are not bothering me please come and sit .” I answered.

“Please call me Zeke. I am not used to that full name of mine .” he forced a smile.

“Ok then Zeke come on grab a chair. “ I smiled. I was feeling so relax around him that was also shocking. He sat down right side of my table.  

“Yes Zeke I am all ears. “I encouraged him.

“Alpha, I know I will be sounded as a mad man when I speak but I need you to be open minded. I  just can’t sit and wait for our formal dinners or small talks or something else as formalities. I always know that being direct is better so I have to say what I need to say right now.” He said and waited for my response.

“Ookaaayy. Go on.” I answered but at that time my door has knocked again and Twain stepped in. I saw Zeke’s hesitation. I needed to dismiss Twain.

“Twain I am sorry I know I summoned you but can you please give us privacy?” I asked my bate and I was sure that he was offended. Well I would made up to him.

“Of course Alpha.” He said and left.

I gestured Zeke to go on.

“I delayed this visit for almost 10 years Alpha Jev and I don’t want to wait not a even one minute more. I don’t know how to start but for me it is really so strange to be here, to be in this situation. As I said I will be direct to you Alpha. Uhmm… I think—oh s**t. Oh sorry Alpha it is not I my imagination, no,  I was told that I… I- I am your nephew… Your sister Claire’s son. “he said and went silent as death itself.

I supposed to be shocked but instead I immediatedly take in this news. That was more shocking actually. Somehow I felt this, I loved this young, broken man at the first sight. But I have to be cautious.

“Well.. How do you know this Zeke? Besides all what made you think that I will believe in your words without any proof?” I asked coldly.

“You are right. But I was just a kid who will be turned to an Alpha on one single night when I found out that my father was the Beta of Shine and my mom was his mate, your sister. My former Alpha was told me for 6 years that he found me outside the border of Shine and he adopted me and one day suddenly he told me the truth. And the week after he passed away. I was just six,a pup who survived through a vicious m******e, turned to an Alpha and he had some parents once. Life was everything but fair to me Alpha. I kept failing everyday, I was alone and weak but I kept going. Now you are asking me for a proof. I will be honest, I don’t have any but somehow I have that feeling that I belong here. “ he said with agony. I felt every emotion of his, such a broken man but so strong. Tears started to grow in my eyes but I keep them there, not now at least.

“Zeke, I understand your point but my sister died in my arms while giving birth to my niece Angela. You are 24 and so Angela. How this can be possible Zeke?” I asked him.

“I don’t know Alpha, I even don’t know if I am telling the truth. But as far as I know all these words were what I was told and Alpha Luke was not an dishonest man. I mean this is nonsense, why he would needed to lie to me? This situation is such a mess I know but I don’t have the strength to figure this out all by myself.”

He bowed his head with despair and my heart ached at that moment. It was a dead end for me. I understood that I could not run away anymore. I had to face it all.

“We need to see my sorcerer Fushia. She and I had some disagreements over years and I was avoiding her but it is the time now. And my boy you are not the only one with secrets.” I confessed.

“What do you mean?” he asked me curiously.

“I have some secrets about Shine too, actually Red Cape we can say. Alpha Martin was here for almost two decades Zeke. We made the ancient Alpha oath. You were my responsibility then and of coure you are now. I am sorry I should have contact you earlier and I really don’t know why I did not. But this is inevidible, our paths are crossed long time ago and I played dumb all this time. I have to fulfill my oath boy and I wish  I won’t let you down. Not this time.” I told him and my heart felt that relief instantly.

“I- I don’t understand Alpha, whh-what is that oath?” he asked blankly.

Poor boy, he was an Alpha but he had no clue about being one. I was sure that he did not have a proper Alpha transition at all.

“Come on we will hit the road soon. We sacrified enough time now we gotta go. I will explain everything on the way.” I rushed him.

I mind linked Twain. “ I am on my way to Fushia. No questions now. I will explain all later.”

“Yes, Alpha.” He just said.

Fushia, I was sure she would be no happy to see me. We were so good once, we were making thing outs like a perfect machine. I trusted her, she showed me the way. Days were passing by with peace and no unexpected incidents were on our way until that day. She told me she had a vision two years ago. Vision was about Martin’s death and Shine Pack’s future. She told me that I need to protect Shine, our oath demands that and Moon God would not be satisfied until I keep my promise. She had more than one visions but I have kept ignoring her visions. So we became distant day by day. On the last day she told me that I will be the end of both packs, I will be cause of a disaster for Breeze Wind and Shine, and she had no intentions to be in this doom. Then she left my territory but she always remained close to our land. I tried to contact her countless times but she refused me every single time. She was kept protecting Breeze Wind in her own way but also avoiding to contact me. But this time I had Zeke with me and I knew she would accept us, not for me but for him. We were going to have one hour way in the woods and I wanted us to stay in our human forms.  One hour would be enough for tell him about Martin and I. But I needed a life time to shake all those feelings.
